Played 4 time for Newcastle last season 😶

Also played 6 times for Warrington. Was only on loan at Newcastle later in the season.

Seem to remember he had a stint at York previously and looked ok there.

He was at York the year before. No idea how he went however.

Looking it up it says he will continue to train with Warrington first squad????

Not unusual for loan players. Might as well get full time training rather than sitting on his backside all day waiting for our evening sessions.

Couldn’t play to a game plan or defend, basically just did what he liked.

Might have improved since but was a right sulk and didn’t seem to enjoy himself at all. Maybe that was down to the coach, who knows.

Remember that game behind closed doors at the LNER, where a drop goal attempt was charged down and you won the game? It was him who attempted the drop goal.

Couple of years is a long time but I wouldn’t be getting too excited.

Hype? They stated they would announce a signing, and they have.

To be fair P there was some hype with the club announcing for the first time an exclusive signing announcement via email.

Well yes, we don't know if Dean was the intended email announcement which was then switched to being a live announcement, or whether there is still an email announcement to come.

I don't think the live announcement itself was especially hyped, think it was first mentioned yesterday whereas they have been advertising the meet the coach aspect for weeks.

A player on loan with a 2-week recall, not exactly a stable signing, is it? Sutcliffe last season was on loan and for me he did not break any pots. Not the type of signing I would have liked.

That's one side of what was quite a lively debate on the York forum at the time about whether he had disappointed or whether he had been mistreated. No strong views about how he will fare for us but it's possible Long's approach might suit him more than Fordyball.

We will have to see how he performs if and when given the opportunity. At least Sean will be able to give input into his game and a guiding hand.If we had signed a half back at the end of his career he would have cost a lot more and would he have been willing to take advice.I do think we are keeping some cash back for a higher profile signing.
