Blue Sox knocked down a peg or 2!

To say the dulls still claim Leeds as their main rivals you seem to have a massive bee in your bonnet about us, possibly since we stuff you with almost monotonous regularity these days, but then who doesn’t?

We’ve not been called Blue Sox for over 20 years now but northern still sounds about right for your mob

Nothing between the two sides, York just showed enough guts to snatch the win and fair play to them. I've only watched Halifax live a couple of times but both times they had periods where they looked great but then the intensity faded and the opposition got a sniff.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Whoops just thought Batley go to Fev, they must be confident taking 3 points from Fev this season.

Absolutely. Fev are massive underdogs and must overturn the form book against Batley to reach the Final. Batley must think they're already in the Final having already smashed us at POR.

This is all well and good, but it's going to take something pretty sesimic for any of the teams to get anywhere near Leigh.

Great win by York, not sure where that came from. I thought all the pressure today was on Halifax, and I again think all the pressure next week is on Leigh and Fev. Featherstone haven’t beaten Batley in the league yet and especially after the last meet-up at the LSV York won’t be expected to get anywhere near Leigh. Anything less than a 60 point defeat and York have probably done ok.

So we at Leigh look forward to welcoming York next week, how much will this effort have taken out of them, not to much I hope, looking forward to q good game.

Yes an unexpected return to the LSV , really looking forward to it , not expecting anything , but hopefully we will give you a run out before we wave you (rightly so) on to superleague, see you Sunday up the fantastic kneets😀😀😀

Didn't we smash em at Batley in the cup scoring 50 ? They fully deserved their win at Featherstone but this is a different game.

Don't say owt FR, but I'm trying to downplay our chances so that Batley get overconfident. SSHH!

If anyone was over confident it was Halifax, after last week they were confident of beating us in the semi final ( they must have forgotten about playing York).

They didn't forget , on the night ( and I say with great pride ) they weren't quite good enough.😉

3600 at Barrow today.

Tremendous atmosphere

So good to see so many kids watching the game. It's been a long time since I have been up to Barrow, the ground has improved significantly and the atmosphere was tremendous. Most teams should take a look at what is going on up there and take note.

Absolutely spot on.

They were giving it the big un after getting so close last week. Blaming the ref,  saying it would be different when u met them in the playoffs.

Well that didnt work out so well for the Blue Sox and now youre playing Batley.  Its a funny old game.

Ive got a lot of time for Barrow and everything they are doing up there.

Had 3 trips up there over the last few years. Always a decent run out and lots going on. Good to see a club doing things the right way.

I only wish my club could follow your lead.
