Wigan Warriors confirm that Oliver Partington has left the Club and joined Salford Red Devils on a permanent deal.

A product of Wigan’s Academy system, prop forward Partington played 92 games for his hometown Club, scoring five tries.

One of those tries came at Hull KR in August this year when Partington proudly led out a young Warriors team and captained Wigan for the first time.

Head Coach, Matt Peet, said: “Salford have got themselves an outstanding character for the next two years. In Oliver he is a player and a person we are immensely proud of and wish all the best for the future. I wish to thank Oliver for his attitude and commitment since joining Wigan as a Scholarship player. He has given it his all and is a credit to himself and his family.”

Everyone at Wigan Warriors thanks Oliver for his time at the Club and wishes him all the best for the future.
