MEA Championship 2022

26-6 final score. Ghana too good all around for the Kenyans (who are still very new to RL).

A cool of nice tries form Ghana, but the highlight for me was the commentators. Very enthusiastic.

Nigeria v Cameroon coming up at 16:30.

I think Nigeria has a lot of potential. A massive population as well as a sizeable population in the UK.

What would a full strength Nigerian team currently look like?

Full strength would include the likes of Jayden Okunbor, Jason Saab, Matt Komolafe, Rio Corkill, Sadie Adyebi, Tuoyo Egodo, Muizz Mustapha, Daniel Okoro and Eribe Doro. Those are all of the first grade player’s eligible.

That's the makings of a pretty strong team. If they could convince them to play they'd be a good chance of qualifying for next WC

It'd be good to see them represent Nigeria v Lebanon (full strength) in a couple of televised exhibition matches in Nigeria, with a view to promoting the establishment of more clubs.

Seeing it played at that class, with their own Nationals represented would (no doubt) give the game a heck of a boost, over there.

Next year will likely see Nigeria up against Lebanon and South Africa in the MEA Cup*

*this current edition is the Championship I.e the qualifiers for the big one.
