According to BBC Rugby League website. The review into the future of the game is out today.

The consultation with fans only ended a couple of weeks ago so there's hardly been time to look at them properly. In fact when you look at the proposals I think you can say that this American company had already decided, together with the RL, what they were going to come up with.

What do others think about the proposals?

Basically the top 6 or 7 clubs will be protected, no chance of ever dropping out of that little group. Then the next 7 or 8 will be continually assessed, no idea who by or how though.

The rest, not even been discussed, not even mentioned. Your on your own mate, good luck but theres sod all funding coming your way.

Might as well let superleague go alone. Have two divisions and more tv cup competitions like the old John player trophy, county cups and have two up two down in league format and get are own sponsors and tv deals, like rugby league was and should be👍

And the challenge cup with no SL involvement

DP will, in 2013 it had a capacity of 10k - this for financial reasons was voluntarily reduced to save costs on insurance and safety certificates and ground stewards etc - because our crowds did not warrant it.

This could be put right with a few hundred quid or slightly more because, due to the fantastic work of all the volunteers it has been looked after.

The stadium that we were promised but ruined by Jenkinson and his cronies would have been great.

BP - i dont think that would be good enough.

The new proposed smaller stadium at BP we dont know - because we are yet to be given any information other than Allerdale saying it is just one stand on the site of reds ex stand.

You're getting boring now

If  you bothered to go to the consultation at the carnegie then you would've heard that it isn't just one stand. 🤡

Dave could make a public statement about progress. Is he just referring to stage 1? I want a good new stadium that we can all be proud of but am sceptical that all the stages will be completed as Truss and Co are going to have huge cuts in public expenditure. Personally I doubt if all the money promised , and repeatedly merely promised, 3 years ago will come Wton's way.

Championship & L1 are free to get their own broadcasting deal now, unfortunately the only one interested were Premier Sports & then only in the Championship, unfortunately the cash benefit to clubs was pretty insignificant.

Let's be truthful, any review or consultation the RFL have ever been involved in has never ever been anything but a paper exercise, as they have already decided what they think is best for the clubs, the players and supporters before any consultation takes place.

Is it true they have binned promotion and relegation from SL ? If true, then your suggestion is spot on, let them get on with the overrated poorly supported tedium they dish up. What's the point of competing in a structure when left with nothing to aspire to. 2 divisions and closer relationships with the amateur game is the only way to go IMO, they couldn't organise a #### up in a brewery.😠

Not quite. They are going to grade all clubs (including Championship and L1) as either A, B or C.
SL clubs that get an A grade can’t be relegated from SL even if they finish bottom. A grade clubs are expected to be Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Warrington, Hull, Catalans and maybe a couple more.
But B grade clubs can be relegated and replaced with another B grade from the Championship.

In theory you could have a situation where :

SL 11th  Grade B club

SL 12th  Grade A club

Champ Winners Grade C club

Champ Runners Up Grade B club

So bottom of SL can’t go down and Championship winners can’t go up. Which means that second from bottom in SL go down and Championship runners up go up !

We will be a grade C club, but clubs will be reassessed every year and can have their grading changed up or down. Nobody knows what the assessment criteria is yet though.

Can't see many championship clubs being B grade definitely toulouse.  London maybe Featherstone York and widnes and bradford at a push . The rest will definitely be C grade

Difficult to say until we know what they are going to be assessed on really.
