This is great:

Share it with everyone you know. It's infectiously good.

I'm getting comments from people who don't even like sport about how joyful it is.

Greece running a domestic season with a bit of RLWC inspiration

This is proper cool stuff

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

That looks amazing! Really iconic venue! If the costs of putting the seats up isn’t too prohibitive Manchester Central can hopefully join the London Copper Box as a future regular Wheelchair Test Venue.

Just posted a rather dispiriting BBC article about the issues in Australia that may be affecting the international game.

However, seen this from Dylan Brown:

He’s spot on. Ridiculous that Aus eligible players get to play SOO whilst Kiwis et al can’t play internationals. Hopefully more Kiwis et al kick up a fuss about it…

They could easily play SOO over two weeks. Friday, Wednesday, Sunday. Hey presto an international window also.

if they wanted to of course

There’s a genuine opportunity in both hemispheres to have 3 consecutive weekends for SOO and internationals mid-season. Sadly no will in Australia though.

The Wheelchair World Cup was pretty close to perfect. An inclusive event, with developing sides getting a run out and the opportunity to benchmark themselves against the good sides, whose skill and athleticism are now appreciated by thousands (millions?) more people.

Good venues, well spread, record crowds, superb TV coverage. And an England win in a thrilling game.

The only blemish I can think of is that French ref.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

They could easily make SOO a one-off annual game and build something much bigger and with a wider scope involving actual nations like Australia, NZ, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and PNG.

Unfortunately they can do whatever they want they have the power over rugby league and if they want to make origin the focus they can. Unfortunately the international game will have to win people over every October and November moving forward. It will happen overtime but not right now. The best thing we can do is continue to stage world cups consistently and build a following for it. To have 6 weeks of international footy every for years on every day is huge. It will only grow. I would hope that France 2025 can get 350k tickets through the door and then 500k for the pacific in 2029. 250k in the US in 2033 then 750k for England in 2037
