England v Fiji (RLWC warm up game) - Match thread

Very disciplined game this from England. The kick chase all night has been excellent.   This will be so important for the Samoan and Tongan games.

I think it's easy to put the 2nd half performance down to lots of changes, but I don't think an Australian team doing something similar would see such a down turn in performance. We have to be be better.

It’s why Sneyd must play next week.

A quality kicking game is so important and Sneyd is the only one that provides that. I think him and Williams compliment each other well. Add Welsby floating from full back and that is a trio that all offer something different with pace and threat.

Completely agree. It’ll take a brave coach to make that decision.

KPP & Young must be the tallest centre wing pairing in RL history

Now I'm trying to recall who partnered Karl Pryce in his wing days, or Barrie-Jon Mather.

Yeah for me if Wane wants Tomkins in then Welsby has to start in the halves. Sneyd would have to make way.

Tomkins shouldn’t be playing fullback he’s losing his pace. You can get away with playing him in the halves but not fullback.

Very satisfying performance that.

Better than losing to Italy in a warm up anyway.
