Absolutely fantastic by the Jamaican team. They gave it everything all night and it really felt like a big night in the Tournament in terms of memories. That try at the end is one of the highlights for me. If you go on a handicap, that was a win for Jamaica going off the bookies odds.

I don't mind admitting I felt a little emotional when Jamaica scored, rembering back to the game at Derwent Parl and the way their coach talked about the game and what it meant to them to be here for the world Cup. Absolutely amazing scenes.

Brilliant for Jamaica. Kept it to a decent score and got a try. What scenes! Amazing stuff and with 3 local lads on the field. Something they’ll remember forever. Particularly pleased for Andy Simpson on the wing having coached him briefly and seen him running around in the US league. Great work.

Anyone suggesting Jamaica shouldn’t be in the comp given that score?

Spoke to Mike Lawrence before the game and he said he knew it was going to be tough but he was looking forward to it, imaging what these young kids felt like if a seasoned pro like him is excited?

Chuffed for Jamaica, they are such a likeable, enthusiastic bunch and in young Kieran Rush we have another excellent Huddersfield prospect for the future.

Complete contrast to Scotland's 'effort' last night...to quote my favourite film - 'GO JAM'!!

the fact that nz and aus can not meet in the final is starting to grate on me -that its set up as a total swizz and a swindle

It should have been England v New Zealand in the semi.

The rankings are very flawed.

There is no doubt England have a big advantage in the draw.

Surely that's a result of the Kiwis going out in the quarters last time and England beating them in a series - and a mid season test - between World Cups.

Just got in from the game and haven't read the comments on here yet but that was such an enjoyable occasion. The pre-match presentation was very well done and I don't how the atmosphere came across on TV but it was brilliant in the stadium. Plenty of kids there from the local junior clubs and they were having a great time. Loved it when they all rushed over to high five Watene-Zelezniak when he went off injured. The reaction to Jamaica's try was fantastic. It was something I'll never forget and it was so good to see the reception they got when they came over to the fans in the East Stand after the game.

Thanks for explaining, I understand.

I wasn't sure on what criterea the teams were seeded.
