Aussies try’s all had a bit of strange fortune about them,

Freaky kick for JAC and the defender lost where he was
VHs try was another where 3 defenders slipped off the ball carrier allowing a freaky offload and pick up
last try was just rank defending on the kiwi line

A bit of brilliance mixed into the first 2, we’ve seen the Roos do that for 40 years and win games off the back of it but there’s a huge element of luck in it as well

The fact remains that had that “try” been disallowed as it should have been then the Kiwis would have won. Regardless of what you say they’d have been ahead on the scoreboard.

The fact remains that NZ missed too many goals

Aussie intensity as that game progressed , their fitness level , and the  clinical nature of their play were outstanding

Yep, that's what won it for them. Kiwis were amazing, and with a bit of better luck could have nicked it, but Aussies just found another level when they had to. Remarkable match.

What’s Wilkin talking about “blew the Kiwis away” he’s an idiot seeking to talk on a Biblical scale about ordinary things all the time

He's no different to any of the pundits that have been on tonight.

I don't particularly like Wilkin but he can't be accused of hyperbole any more than the next fella.

Yes, I had that thought while I was typing but I don’t think it was just well practiced skills, there was some chance involved

Yes, but the harder you prepare, the harder you perform and the more likely it is that the right player will be on the spot at the right moment, instead of a few yards away, either misreading the play or too tired to be right on top of the action. That's how you make it look like luck.

Sigh. 😨

Its rare for me to bag refs but Kendall took one look from one angle at full speed and decided, as he was confirming his decision a slow mo replay showed he was wrong, no wonder people are angry John.

He noticeably does!

Hes spectacularly failed to comprehend the futility of profuse utilisation of superlative hyperbole

I have to assume that we weren't seeing what the VR was watching, I don't think the sound matched the pictures tbh.
