The Stretford End is the west stand mate, so you’ll be ok 👌

You are correct, it's the West Stand I'm in, so I'll still get the colly wobbles. (Used to stand on the East terracing, or the scoreboard end as it was then called, back in those violent times.)

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

There will be a rush for the trams after 70 minutes I reckon.

Heading to Manchester for around 12, head to OT for most of the womens hopefully, we said if Australia are winning comfortably we would head back into Manchester for a bite to eat, a few drinks and train back to Huddersfield.

Tickets in the NW quadrant I think.

Is there any street parking anywhere near OT, does anyone know. Maybe up to a mile or so away.

I've booked a parking space through "your parking space" in a covered match day car park about 2 minutes away.

East Stand (Stretford End - somewhere that, as a City fan in the 60's would have filled me with dread), Tier 2.

Train from Huddersfield then some sort of public transport depending upon the state of the trams etc.

Hoping for either side to beat the Aussies but especially hoping for a close game in the men's match.

East Stand isn't the Stretford End, reckon you'll be ok 🙂

Live about 20 minute walk away, think I’ll head to the quays for a bite and walk over the bridge catching all or at least the majority of the womens game dependent on time taken to get into the stadium.

In the stretford end, lower tier.

Gutted that England aren’t there.

Incredible that there isn’t a direct train from Manchester to London on a Saturday evening.

The people running Avanti West Coast could compare notes with the rlwc2021 organisers on incompetent delivery, ticket website disasters and the ability to extract millions of pounds from the government despite manifestly failing to deliver on their targets.

Good luck to you - faced with similar challenges last weekend I took a cheap flight Manchester-heathrow return.

Ha! My mate's son (he's eight) is very insistent that we stay for the trophy presentation.

Hopefully that'll mean it is a bit quieter as we're leaving the stadium and the rest of our party can just turn our backs as they lift the cup 🙃

The fact that the journey he is intending to make is such a ballache. Really shouldn't be as complicated as that.

Understood.  I agree. There should be a direct train line from his house to his seat at Old Trafford.

Actually, I think publishing his schedule displays a strong planning discipline and attention to detail that all of us might reflect on.🖒🖒🖒
