West Wales have announced that they have withdrawn from this years competition. That’s 2 games less this season. League1 is looking more precarious as a viable competition going forward, so even more important we get back into championship. All games are must wins.

Sadly I can see more clubs going the same way, some more established than West Wales as well☹️

I was looking forward to a trip to Llanelli. Bad news for the sport and our club, just nine home league matches this season.

Looks like we will have four weeks without a match, from April 16 to May 14. It's ridiculous really and a sad state of affairs for a so-called professional sport.

Agreed, we need to get out of this division but it seems unlikely that League One will be viable with so few clubs next season and it may well end up being merged with the Championship anyway, particularly if more clubs go the same way as West Wales.

I agree, although there is a chance of a cup game in that blank period.

Rumours persist about other clubs struggling but maybe it is the norm at this time of year for a bit of gloom to counterbalance unbridled jolliness.

Maybe set up a League One Cup. Interestingly loop fixtures were discounted as could have distorted the competition.....unlike in SL of course.

SL has play-offs, we have one automatic promotion spot plus play-offs so, yes, it would distort the competition.

In the Football League, teams call allow themselves the odd “off day”, but for us and any team with promotion in mind and wit

With only 18 fixtures now for next season, there really will be no alternative to winning every game.

One slip and promotion hopes could be undone.

If only there was a local club offering adult entry for £10 and kids free... oh hang on 😉
