Just had a quick look Mr sticks  glad we have at least one more home game.

There are far too many void weekends.

Indeed , and home games . It’s totally unsatisfactory and inadequate .  And for the lowest teams struggling the most who need the match day revenues the most . I don’t understand why it’s beyond the wit of man to add some extra fixtures into  the calendar to flesh the season out , it happens in other leagues . We basically have three quarters of a season stretched out into a full season , but noones much fussed as this league since it was cut back has always been pretty much just the overspill from the leagues above

Its beyond them - simply because they dont care about L1 - Whereas Super League who do get all the money are given loop fixtures to get even more money, and they wonder why people refer to them as Super Greed?

Never been a fan of loop fixtures but in League 1 they are very much needed to give the clubs a suitable number of home fixtures.

When it was announced that WW had dropped out of the league they said the other members turned down loop fixtures as it could give some teams an unfair advantage.  Seems bonkers to me that any club would turn them down, but I suppose if we were to play Cornwall away we would probably lose money.

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

SL have a play-off for their Championship. L1 has straight promotion for 1st place. Loop fixtures will always result in unfair advantages/disadvantages where straightforward promotion is possible, as it was always unfair in the case of relegation from SL.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

If all the League One clubs wanted extra fixtures then the RFL would have been forced to at least consider it.

my guess is that some of the ‘newer’ league one clubs are happy with 18 games plus cup matches which is why it hasn’t been considered

Also, unfortunately, availability of grounds on demand isn't always guaranteed for some clubs.

If the RFL and the clubs had had more notice then maybe something could have been cobbled together but the announcement by WW came far too late.

if the RFL had any integrity they should compensate each club for the loss of the home fixture based on the club's average home attendance - might not be a huge amount either, possibly as little as 45k, but would make a huge difference to League clubs who have missed out on revenue they can ill afford to lose through no fault of their own, and negligence by the RFL for not looking into West Wales finances earlier when it's been rumoured for months they were about to fold

How many clubs would you like the RFL to examine the finances of?

How many would you like to fold?

I would like them to check every teams finances - wasn’t that the whole point of framing the future, wages caps to stops clubs over spending and going bust !

In the last 30 years the game has seen numerous clubs go to the wall, West Wales are just another to add to a long list !

how many of the traditional RL clubs have nearly gone out of business, most in the championship and league one have flirted with insolvency at least once in the last 20 years !

I’m all for developing areas and adding pro teams as they build up the community game in their area, but it’s a joke, the RFL seem happy to let any Tom, Dick or Harry from areas with no RL community game into the pro game, but when they get an application from  a Manchester side who want to base themselves at the Ethiad campus they turn it down, even though the Manchester public is aware of the sport and it could have possibly been a shot in the arm for the sport at our level
