Barrow fans saying it was a power cut in the Hindpool area so not much they could do about that, if they had kicked off at 2.30pm they would have had it finished by the time the lights went out.

just one of those things, at least it was a friendly and we don’t have to travel down again to replay the game

Heard someone saying it went off at training this week as well, someone been fiddling with the meter 🤔

Strange how radio cumbria was still broadcasting if it was a total power cut. They were saying there was some electricity in the stand which I would have thought kills that excuse.

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Saw something about only one phase tripped, do if true then still having power for other parts makes sense.

The grandstand would probably have a back up generator supply for emergency exit lighting etc

Emergency lights were on all over the ground, so was the domestic lighting in the food & bar areas. The floodlights were back on before we left the ground at about 4:30. Town lads played well together & defence was good. All Barrow's trys were in the left corner which we struggled to cover. Meat & tatie pies with gravy were lovely!

Are you suggesting that Barra cut the power as they thought Town were about to steamroller them and grab a win?

Emergency lighting should be battery maintained I think, wouldn't necessarily need a second supply.

I was just going by what they were saying on the radio, they said the lights were back on in the hospitality area.

Hmm yeah that's quite an assumption from what I wrote.  The answer is no I wasn't suggesting that at all...
