Anything beyond a written agreement was not something RAFC committed to but was more a personal arrangement with the previous RAFC chair and was valid only as long as he was chair. Given the leadership problems currently being experienced at RAFC this is unlikely to change in the immediate future. I agree that sadly the prospect of a good effective partnership with RAFC is highly unlikely so an alternative is the way forward. Apart from Hornets they seem to have upset a lot of people and now seem to be demanding help from the Council! Should this occur let’s hope a new board at Dale will be more understanding. A bit harsh when they have had to put in half a million pounds of their own cash to keep RAFC independent. I think they do seem to know the value. Will be interesting to see what the joint meeting with Hornets and RAFC and the council results in. Will the council support both clubs in their pursuit of survival or not? I do wonder.
