I amble on there every couple of weeks for a nosey but barely anyone posts apart from the multi-personality troll LeBron. Some of the club boards are definitely still pretty active. Wigan, Wire, Wakey, Hull & Leeds fans all using their retrospective club's boards. The interface is diabolical, clunky and overrun with adverts which must make the site owners all of 50p a year in revenue.

The Blues Ox
Widnes use Trust In Widnes from what I remember. Fax still on RLFans but theres only a few of us still post as most of it has moved on to the Facebook forum now. I think RLFans was one of the first reasons I started using an Ad blocker. The Phantom Horseman
Widnes use https://widnesrugby.com/forums/ and it's reasonably active. Hull KR use https://hullkrfans.co.uk/index.php and that one is very busy. There's a separate Whitehaven forum at http://www.havenfans.co.uk/ although that is relatively quiet. Castleford have a busy forum at https://www.casforum.co.uk/forum/ Catalans and Toulouse have forums at http://www.rugbyforumxiii.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=47 but obviously those are in French. It's a shame that so many people have migrated to FB club or fans' pages as you never seem to read much of interest there.

DACS
I'm probably a dinosaur but FB is a horrible interface for discussion. Fine for people uploading live scores etc but horrific otherwise. I say that as someone who's set up a FB page for other purposes.

Forums are social media, albeit an early form of it. Different platforms have overtaken them, like Facebook overtook MySpace etc. There's pros and cons, perhaps the ability to have a bit more of a long form discussion on forums means lends itself to more in depth discussion than afforded on Facebook etc.
SalfordSlim
Facebook is a cesspit (IMO) and tends to attract most of the lowlifes in society. Some of the nonsense you read on there is mind-boggling (and half of it appears to be written by adults with the level of English language skills of the average 4 year old!). I joined a couple of Football fan groups a few years back and came off after barely a week. Was full of lots of angry people and keyboard warriors. I get that you get the odd muppet on here but generally most are of at least a semi-sane state of mind and most threads manage to add some value.
