Love listening these muppets on sky telling us how fantastic Dire was not one mention of the terrible decisions by the ref, need to grow some.

As I mentioned a little earlier, I only switched on towards the end and the first 8 point try happened very soon after. I didn't see too much that I had a problem with. What did they get so wrong?

Then it is impossible to tackle anybody in that position , and yet we see it every week go unpunished

There were several instances of exactly this situation in Leigh games last year with high tackles on a falling player, both for an against. I remeber because several times i had to remind people next to me in the north stand that it was a correct call according to the rules. It's not a new rule.

As a neutral wasn't bothered who won. Brilliant first half and then Smith took over, with help from  Moore and changed the game around. In all the years I have watched the game I cannot recall two 8 point  tries in a game.

Maybe I have been wrong all these years but I always thought that an 8 point try was awarded when a foul had been committed AFTER the try had been scored. The logic being that otherwise do what you like after the try and there is no recompense.

Commit a foul before the try and it's either a penalty or advantage and play on. Surely?

Either way I thought that Salford got a very rough deal from the referee tonight.

Good points: Ashtons try.

Bad points: smith decision to send Brierley off, but worse was Drinkwater signalling "10 minutes" with both hands towards the ref. Ref should have spoken to  him for that.

There has clearly been a directive given to referees to be more open on penalty/8 point trys and I'm all for it to be honest. Far to many incidents have gone unpunished over the years because refs were scared to make the call.

Consistency, that becomes the issue

Thanks for that and seeing as though both 'fouls' were neither during or after but in fact were 'before' the act of scoring proves my point.

The bigger point though is that Warrington looked less than invincible.

So he's checked that the centre was onside , but not the player who scored the try

That was an unbelievable error.

He didn't watch the replay the whole way through. The winger was so far offside he only came into the picture at the end. It really was shocking.

He also must have known the centre wasn't the player who scored as he was looking at the 8 point try.

It doesn't matter whether Salford crumbled or not. To award an 8 point try by identifying the wrong player offside is embarrassing.

Wow a few t*tty lips on here tonight.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

The Dupree one the ball was grounded well before he made contact with the knees, so that was very much after. The Watkins one was in the process of diving to ground the ball, so in the act of scoring. Yes it looks soft but the rules on high tackles have been very clear for several years now.
