Jeez when him and Maguire are back they have the potential to be one of the most destructive packs we've seen in SL

there were rumours of bullock leaving in the offseason, we thought we've signed too many middles/props at one point, but could be in an excellent position for rotating and cover for injuries.

We're a bit thin the back row though.

Which if any of the front rowers could cover that? Actually hasn't Ratchford stepped in at second row before ?

harrison was given some time there last year, he's probably the least bulky of our props and did ok there but he's covering at 13/prop with mcguire being out.

i think ratchford may have done some stints at 13, but they weren't very good, i believe matatia got some game time there against leeds. not sure about at huddersfield, i think he's a bit on the small side for that personally.

Small but string enough I reckon

Either way you're set for a good season olin the forwards if you can keep injuries down.

I'm enjoying the Brian Bevan podcast by the way

The 2nd rowers are mostly young players apart from currie, nicholson, holroyd, Whitehead all new emerging players, when the 4 missing forwards return harrison and mikele are players who cover all forward positions.

Wire - too many props, not enough 2R's.

Salford - too many 2R's, not enough props.

Andrew Dixon for Paul Vaughan seems like a fair swap to me.🤝

mikaele isn't covering 2nd row, he's lucky he's in the team currently, his lack of cardio is shocking

Really hoping that Wire maintain the momentum and should, on paper, win this game—— Salford have been a bit of a bogey team and their style of play could cause us problems. Early days but the Wire defence is unrecognisable from last season— Wire to win by 10 pts

Salford have been punching above their weight under Paul Rowley and they'll certainly have to do so again to beat Warrington. There's a difference of about a million pounds in salary spend between the 2 squads which is massive in the small world of Rugby League.

If a Daryl Powell coached team were to beat a Paul Rowley coached team by say 10 or 12 with a team costing £1million more does that make Powell a better coach than Rowley? Not for me.

Essentially Warrington can get it badly wrong, start all over and try again with another spending spree. If Salford get it badly wrong they are probably risking the very future of the club. That's the difference between the clubs or rather the difference in wealth of the owners.

Right now though Salford have a lot of good players and can mix it in the top tier. I think they will be gallant losers tonight.

Looking forward to this game - first non-Saints game I’ll have been able to watch so far.

Hoping for a good one and interested to see how Wire are shaping up - they really should be challenging this year.

Lively stuff from the visitors.
