This will be a(nother) tough game for Saints, on the back of last week against Leeds at home. The poor discipline has lead to suspensions for Konrad Hurrell, Curtis Sironen and Sione Matautia, which leaves Saints even shorter at centre and back row given Will Hopoate has a shift pattern of two one, six off and Joe Batchelor’s ankle injury.

Will take a one point win if offered.

What's the deal with Hopoate is he always injured? He never seems to play, or it's one week in one month out.

He’s picked up a few injuries since being with us, mainly muscular, and seems to get through a couple of games before sitting out for the next 3-4. Wellens said he’d be back for Leigh or Hull next week, it appears to be Hull, it seems. It’s a shame because he’s been good in the games he’s played and boasts a 100% record from something like 15 games now.

Roby was just rested against Leeds right?

Saints don’t like Leigh away, and like the HKR match, I’m dated at predictions.

Leigh by 8.

From three Super League visits to Leigh, Saints have won…two. Hardly a dislike?

Has it been announced which referee is against saints this week. 😏

Will be close game saints missing a few I expect leigh to be competitive in all games this especially at home.

No. He picked up a knock against Penrith and hasn’t played since.

If he doesn't play Saints don't just lose his distribution and tackling ......they seem to lose their heads and composure .....I'd be very nervous if I were a Saints fan about any  injuries ...and very worried for the 2024 season anyway

And even against a "not Super League ready" Leigh in '21 it could hardly have been perceived as an easy Saints victory, more like just scrapped through.

Oh please let it be Kendal mint cake....pleeeeaaasseee

As a Leigh fan, I would prefer it not to be Mr 'Pedantic' Kendall, I would prefer someone who let's the game to be noticed other than himself.

In matches Leigh have lost this season both have been close and they look to have pushed their opponents all the way. I'm expecting something similar here.

We are a few men down, mainly due to our own actions, which doesn't help. Roby and Paasi's return are important and I think we'll have enough.

Saints by 12.

Considering how rubbish Leigh have been previously in SL, i would have expected St Helens to win 4 of the last 3 visits to the LSV !!😂

In seriousness though, I don't remember any landslides.

You’d be very worried for 2024 as a saints fan? Goodness, everyone else must be petrified then! It’s already a success for us after the WCC.

Teams are clearly looking to get us out wide and with all our back rows out (Batchelor, Sione, Sironen) and absences in the centres (Hurrell and Hopoate) it will be a bit makeshift on the edges.  I reckon Leigh will get a lot of joy out wide and it will be very close.

Should be a good game, sounds like a big travelling support again so will be a great atmosphere again.
