O’Connor and Priim are a struggle to listen to. There really is no point having extra commentators if they have nothing insightful to add, it’s just confusing white noise.

i agree, ya know, Pyke is hard as it is, ya know, Turry and Pyke are really hard, all 3 of them, ya know, is pretty hurtful to the old eardrums.

That's a display that should worry the rest of the league, including St Helens. A tough, stubborn win.

Yes, Wigan were a bit sloppy, but I think a fair part of that came from the speed of the Catalans' defence.

Can someone explain what Smithies does besides give penalties away?

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Immense defensive performance by les Dracs. Impressive

Bousquet's effort on Field was exceptional for a bloke of his size 74 minutes into the game.

Fair enough, he looks quite limited to me.

Good performance from Catalans even with some players absent. Supposedly that's the best team that Wigan can field so I think that tells you the pre-season pessimism from myself and few other Wigan fans was well founded. Nobody in that Wigan front row was dominant. For years and years we've been saying Wigan could be a handy side with a couple of decent props. We've got props who occasionally put in good performances (Havard, Singleton) but there's a real lack of consistency from the middle forwards and they get outfought far too often. We know Isa isn't good enough but Pearce-Paul's start to the season has made me long for the days of out-of-form John Bateman.

Powell's impressive 40/20 masked a dire performance where he seemed to make wrong decisions again and again and offered nothing of value from 9. I can accept some of his limitations when he's a steady influence but he was poor tonight. There's little point having O'Neill on the bench when he plays a similar game.

I'll forgive Harry Smith his few mistakes because he still created enough to almost single-handedly win us the game but the chances kept going begging. A good performance which might have been better had Cust done anything to assist.

We can beat a few teams but we won't be beaten any good teams this year.

I had to Laugh at the Wigan fans getting annoyed about Catalan slowing the ruck down.

Wigan weren't poor so much as outcoached and outplayed.

Catalans played hard without the usual dirty stuff, great to watch.

When they do that, they’re a force. They don’t do it consistently which is their downfall and when their dirty stuff comes out, they simply implode.

Just seen the Catalans players singing away in the dressing room.....with all the tub-thumping and clapping....is there a standard RL song that the winning team does, or is it particular to each club? There is never any audio for these scenes when they are transmitted.

When I played, the songs were on the coach on the way to games or in the bar afterwards, never in the changing room. And,I'm sure I would get locked up if I were to sing those songs today.😇😀
