You forget aston went down like a sack of spuds after kirmond tackle RED CARD Did aston  play on Yes Did he play next week  Yes Can't have been that bad, can it

Yeah, I don't know what Danny was trying to do there. You don't tackle or block a kick with a bent arm. We'll never know, I suppose.

The referee thought so.  No penalty.  Play on.

Ah but, the referee reconsidered and raised the issue with the disciplinary panel who subsequently banned Aston. Realised it should have been a penalty and a yellow at the very least!

"Out of the way, son. Where's my medal?" Alex Murphy's immortal words as David Hobbs scores his 2nd try in the '83 Cup Final!

Remind me about all those HIAs yesterday.

Ok.

Fleming looked to have a clash of heads with his own player.

Eckersley was stopped in his tracks by a superb tackle which nobody who saw it would have described as anything but a great tackle.

Hatton dived head first into Riley Dean's legs/knees as Dean jumped for a high ball and unsurprisingly injured himself.

It's usually best to have seen incidents before making a fool of oneself.

Just a series of unfortunate events.

Both teams really good this afternoon. Batley dug in deep after playing Widnes on Monday but defended like demons against a good, physical side. Woods proving the value of a drop goal yet again.

Batley played well, although TO didn't... apparently. Missed Shorrocks who pulled out on the Saturday morning.

Interesting stat I was told today. Batley didn't give away a single penalty, knock on or six-again in the whole 80 minutes. Isn't that some sort of record?

I am not sure that that is true, I seem to remember Ben White knocking on. On your first point, I think Toulouse played well for 5 minutes either side of half-time, but didn't look great generally. Though, when they did throw the ball about for those ten minutes, they looked impressive.
