Really poor game but even down to eleven and now down to twelve, you can’t see Leigh losing this. There’s little to say about Wakefield that hasn’t already been said over the past 13 games. They’re gone. There’s no saving them.

The red couldn’t have been anything other than a red. All the pre-season releases said a punch with a closed fist would be a red this year.

I get that, I should probably have clarified that it was my preference around the rules.

But I think the punch will be a Grade A no ban and the hip drop will pick up a ban.

This should be a great chance for Wakefield playing against 12 for the whole second half on a warm day, Leigh should tire badly towards the end. Unfortunately I'm just not sure Wakefield have got enough points in them regardless.

A red card for Lineham is our only hope. Matches the numbers up yes but rids us of the clown. On balance a positive outcome.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

If a clenched fist is only a yellow then it could become a free for all. A punch to the head is a punch.

Not really. High tackles can receive different punishments. Just a penalty, sin bin, or red card.

We treat punches differently at the disciplinary.

We make subjective calls all of the time, it's part of the game. There is no one-size fits all solution.
