Just seen the highlights, Leutele’s try looked dodgy at the time even from 100 yards away, more so now even as a Leigh fan struggling to see how that was given - but worth it just to see Brierley’s reaction 😀

Yeah agree with the Leutele score seems difficult to put the ball down legally, I would Like to see some other angle if it is kosher it will go down as good a finish in the corner as any, but if not then I believe Salford got away with one when Helliwell scored after chasing Crofts grubber I didn't pick up on it till watching the highlights but you can clearly see Brierley holding the back of Reynolds shirt slowing him down and preventing him a clean race to the ball, had this been a televised game I think both of those scores would have been under the  microscope as would Hardacres, Sneyd clearly knocks on but it is what happened after that with the ball bouncing about between the legs of opposing player's.

Leutele's looked short off the highlights , the last one was fine , only potential issue was the pass to Briscoe being forward , then again from behind the sticks it looked like a knock on for Salford's first , doesn't really show it from the camera angle , a couple of poor trys defensively let in by us but a ground out win in the end , baffled again by a ball going over somebody's shoulder and being picked up 6 feet behind the player being given as a knock on , happened to Edwin in the last Salford game at ours , same again yesterday with Chamberlain 🤔

Both Leutele's and Hellewells tries would have been chalked off by the video ref.

Nothing wrong with the Hardacre try IMHO. A knock on by Salford, a load of Shennanigans and a simple pick up and try.

Probably didn't deserve the win to be fair, but it made up for the last defeat for which we didnt deserve to lose but I wish Salford all the best. On their day, a great attacking side who play some fantastic stuff.

Totally baffling how a knock on was given against Chamberlain, I know the ref whistled for it but did the touchy call it?

It's the old adage that like losing winning becomes a habit, in recent weeks and games the skill that Leigh have displayed has carried them to victory there was nothing of the sort today it was the will and the determination to play and fight for each other that brought about the win.

We all have our favourite's and some of us don't respect some player's as much as we appreciate others, but for me the contribution that Reynolds gives to this team more than justifies his selection, he is much more than just than a very reliable goal kicker, he more then plays his part in the attack and his defence can be relied on, albeit his goalkicking  alone is reason enough to put him in the team. Just my opinion.

My main concern about Reynolds, is his temperament. His head went at Magic Weekend, there were a couple of times in the Hull KR game where he seemed to lose his composure, then yesterday, after Burgess' disallowed try he's laughing at Burgess and throws the ball at him. Was totally unnecessary. My fear is that he does something stupid next week, in the biggest game so far.

Was that the one that rolled through his legs? No idea how that was called forward. Think Thaler's had better days, I'd say that three of the 8 tries scored yesterday where questionable, while one was outright a no try.

I am convinced Ben will be OK, just needs drumming into him to count to three before doing ang actions.

As for the knock on given against  Chamberlain it was with about 15 or so to go the ball was delivered to him above head height and appeared to hit but go through his hands and hit the floor some way behind him, baffling his it was deemed a knock on.

Oh yes, I remember that one now. Bizarre. I was thinking of one just before the first try of the game, a kick went through along the ground, and a Leigh player fumbled it but the ball carried on in it's original direction and through his legs.

That's the one , same thing happened to Edwin in the Salford game at Leigh , he was stood still ball went through his hands and over his head landing 4/5 ft behind him , he turned and picked it up , strange , the point about Ben does stand , others will have noticed it as well , he needs to calm down a bit

There have been various exchanges on Twitter about certain decisions, some driven by Matt Shaw's peculiar postings this morning, specifically about three calls that Salford weren't happy with. Which bordered on client journalism on Salford's behalf! The three calls being;

Luetele try - I was surprised to see it given in real time, though I was 100 yards away. And the replay doesn't make me feel any more confident that he got it down, but if that went to a video ref with only that angle to see, I don't think he'd be overturning the decision

Burgess no try - Not sure what the issue is, looks like Lafai knocks it forward after initial knock on.

Hardaker dragging Burgess back off the ball - Interestingly, Ian Smith's suggestion is that the right call was made, because he played advantage and Salford scored off that set. Personally, I think the ref simply didn't see it.

Makes me wonder how MRP can be confident in their decisions when dishing out fines and suspensions, when they probably aren't seeing as good an angle as the ref did in real time for any non-televised games.

It was very odd. Certainly looking to provoke a certain reaction, and not a positive one. Would he do the same with perceived errors by a player?

Re the Burgess lknock on 'try'. The ball was knocked fwd by his head so yes you would be right But Thaler then gave Salford the feed!

Simple answer is no he wouldn’t but a bit of referee bashing is considered fair game

Was initially knocked on by O'Brien, into Lafai, so first knock on was given. I thought it came off his upper arm, so correct call. Difficult to say from the single camera angle though.

Oh can't you see
You belong to me?
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take?

SRD (club) seems to be in better health for many a decade. The supporters have stepped up both through the gate and in their pockets.

SRD (team) seems currently on the retreat.

Said it before, I'll say it again, but for all the quality in the backs, a beaten poor forward line will come unstuck. Once the quality was taken, then it's a gaggle of knackered old boys and a couple of lounging mouthy imports doing diddly.

Every single day
And every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I'll be watching you

in my opinion, with Wright and Watkins gone, now is the main time to step up that promised signing.  Less crocked pals from Toronto and more the likes of Dupree.

Leigh looked well coached especially in the forwards. Take note.

As for the latest refereeing botch up, well after now almost weekly insults, you start developing an exasperated sense of fated depression that will just happened.

Like a cat in a bag, waiting to drown

Sort of lost count how many games altered - not all but mostly adversely - how many points lost, the monies missed from this. A sport rigged.

All that the latest reveals again is our officials need support to be professional. Active TMOs, Academy, NRL exchanges and so on. We all know change is needed. But will it happen?!

And yeah it is 40 years since Leigh won in Salford. 40 ###### years.

The RFL is looking into an incident in which an object was allegedly thrown at a touch judge from the Leigh end during Sunday's game at Salford.

Both clubs have been asked for their understanding of what happened following Ken Sio's opening try.

Referee Ben Thaler called the match commissioner on to the pitch in the immediate aftermath.
