Would a team from Andorra be a good fit for rugby league ? It borders France and has a big connection with Catalonia . It would also give rugby league a new nation.

There was a team around 25 years ago but it didn't last long.

With a population of 80k it would seem crazy to devote any effort towards it.

That's the first step for any prospective RL club. Next step training tops and bucket hats. The rest can wait for a few years yet

Andorra have a national soccer team,  the most popular sports going, and are still totally uncompetitive. Any RL team will be at best a heritage with Frenchies with Andorran ancestry or Spanish possibly. Just what we need   another heritage team.

Ah - but if they were playing in the French comp, they wouldn't need to bother with heritage trivialties. They could just sign up a dozen NRL players.

Drumming up a crowd from their 79000 population might be more of an issue.

To be fair it would be the first heritage team not to be rammed full of aussies.. Nice to have a "first"
