Yes he would have given a knock on if there hadn’t been a kick. 

Re 2nd paragraph. It wouldn’t make any difference. A grubber can be a drop kick of sorts.

The second Wigan try looked like a dropped ball that hit the ground before being kicked. Which I’m pretty sure is a knock on but I’d have to see it again to be sure.
