Oh god we can't get to a place where the VR is judging the individual offsides on every tackle.

The comment is clearly aimed at the incident of foul play rather than the tongue in cheek remark about how far Lomax was offside. Usually when there is foul play there will be a stoppage, in this case it was the scrap and then the ref letting the players calm down and on this occasion it really only took one viewing to see the Saints players shoulder making contact with the Giants players head. This would have been a really easy decision for a video ref to make and for the sake of an extra minute or so we may have had a fair conclusion to the game where Saints would have been punished like they eventually were but not in a way that really hurts them.

Redvee are just on neat Kool Aid from early in the day. They have completely lost it this season (more than in previous years)

I know I commented previously on the weird obsession that some fans have about Saints but this new victim mentality that Saints fans have developed over the last few weeks is just weird too.

Talk of conspiracy to stop them winning 5 in a row is bizarre.

You could argue by being sent from the field Greenwood/Huddersfield were served their punishment on the day, for some unknown reason the officials chose not to punish Lees at the same time, unfortunately Saints next 2 opponents get the benefit of his thuggery while we suffered on the day because of it.

Which is exactly what happened when Lees ended Shane Wright's season some weeks ago.

Looking at the match from a Saints point of view i think the best side lost. We started off really well but when Greenwood was sent off the game started to change. The Saints discipline was as always shocking. As for the squad the likes of Ben Davies shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team,  i wouldn’t even let him carry the kit bag. Sam Royle i can’t fault his effort but he just isn’t big enough to cause any problems for the opposition. I think Saints are in desperate need for another centre and two props for next season.
As for Huddersfield i thought they played really well when they went down to 12 men. Seeing Kevvie Naiqama again was great and what a fantastic try, we could do with someone like him in the centres.
I was very impressed Sam Halsall.

My head hurts sometimes with Saints and the RFL and the arguments and counter arguments that come from everyone after they get yet another ban and then appeal and then all the conspiracy talk starts and then everyone goes in on that and we start all over again the week after and the week after that again and so on and on.

If Lees, Knowles, Matuatia, Sironen and co could just have a few weeks without hitting people in the head, hitting people late or a combination of both, they'd be doing us all a real favour. We can discuss the ins and outs of it all for days on end but ultimately they've just got a lot of players that can't keep their noses clean. In the past they'd just be called a bit dirty but we're living in a never ending cycle, where the main issue seems to almost forgotten at times.

I thought we were lucky to only be 12 points behind at HT, I thought our defence was poor, equalled with some great play by Welsby and finishing from Makinson.

Second half I thought we bossed it for the most part, Hill, Wilson, and English certainly got the better of the Saints pack and I thought Russell, despite playing almost on one good leg dominated the middle of the park and outshone the much daunted (but not sure why Dodd.

The try from the kick absolutely stumped us and our heads dropped a little for the first time after that allowing Saints to flat track bully us for the last 4 minutes.

Naiqama has been possibly our best player this season, always gives his all and always comes up with some good stuff, I always enjoyed him at Saints and saw him wreak havoc against the Kiwis at Hull in the RLWC, fab player.

I'm a Saints fan and also would like those mentioned to stop committing silly fouls which ultimately lead to repeated suspensions (lost count how many games between them they have missed this season). I also have no issue withe bans received. My only issue is that there appears to be more leniency towards Hudds this week from the MRP. I can accept that red card could be deemed sufficient for Greenwood however Hill almost decapitated two players and got away without a ban and I'm still scratching my head as too how they concluded that a cannonball tackle which is outlawed and can lead to extremely serious injury only lead to a caution🤷🏻‍♂️

The only people who thought Chris Hill had "nearly decapitated" St Helens players are St Helens fans.

If these incidents were that bad then surely, as with Lees, the MRP would have picked them up even if the match officials didn't.

As for the English one, as I said previously, the only thing I can think of is that initial contact is higher than the knees.

The English tackle did look like first contact was just above the knee but we all know that Saints have a different definition of what a knee is depending upon who is making the tackle

By appealing and reappealing bans for dangerous and reckless tackles, it makes a mockery of Wellens' passionate speech a couple of weeks ago.

If he/they were serious they would accept that Lees' shoulder to the head of an opponent was dangerous and accept the findings of the MRP.

The fact they're trying to get him off a ban means all the stuff the other week is now completely irrelevant for Wellens and Saints.

Wellens certainly has the best Thugby League team at this moment in time, about this time last season there was a League ladder put out stating which team had the worst disciplinary record - which happened to be Leeds - Saints must be right at the top of that list this season with a good number of points in front of the rest.
