FRIDAY 18th AUGUST
Sheffield Eagles v Featherstone Rovers Sheffield by 4

SATURDAY 19th AUGUST
Toulouse Olympique v Swinton Lions Toulouse by 60

SUNDAY 20th AUGUST
Bradford Bulls v Newcastle Thunder Bradford by 32
Keighley Cougars v Batley Bulldogs Batley by 18
London Broncos v Halifax Panthers Fax by 8
Widnes Vikings v York KO  Knights York by 4

Some interesting games this weekend with the friday game the pick. How do Fev react after the turmoil of the last couple of weeks against a Sheffield team that no doubt Mark Aston will have them up for it. Sheffield are more than capable of beating anyone at home. How do the 2 1885 cup finalists come through after last week and a really tough trip back down London for Fax and then the last game I found it really hard to pick a winner. Who knows which version of each team turns up.

It's a very unpredictable league,we hammered Whitehaven twice but they have beat Sheffield twice who we tend to struggle against, Tubby must really fire them up for our games and Jessie was like a man possessed when we played them at Featherstone but strangly never played like that for us,mind you if he had he would have been sent off a few times.

He was lucky to stay on against us at Featherstone. He was like a man possessed. As you say, we never saw him like that. He must have been watching Rambo before the kick off!

It will be interesting to see how Swinton get on against a depleted TO side.  Swinton have done well against TO in France previously, and they've beaten them at home this season, albeit as Sita was binned twice in the match.

It’s a very interesting week, the Fev v Sheff and Fax v London matches particularly interesting. I can’t call the Fev result, but fancy London to turn over Fax.

Yeah its a pretty tough game after last weeks hype to have to travel back down to London. Its probably a must win game for them as well with Batley and Bradford likely to pick up wins and if Widnes can beat York they are well in the mix as well. If Fax do manage to scrape a win we do have a pretty easy run in compared to other teams and should be able to grab 3rd or 4th spot which looked very unlikely a couple of weeks back.

I don't think there are any easy games this season in the Championship, it may look, on paper, that team A should beat team B but how many upsets have there been this year? some you just wouldn't believe. It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that Keighley beat Batley or Swinton do Toulouse as unlikely as their current form might suggest. We have come unstuck a few times this season against lower ranked teams.

Think someone has been in Wetherspoons since opening time.

TO 4 Swinton 6 - HT

You couldn’t make it up, if it was a horse race you would be looking for a stewards enquiry, take nothing away from Swinton though.
