Any news on the UK broadcasting deal for the upcoming NFL season?

The current Sky/Ch5/ITV deal has come to an end ahead of the 25/26 season and there’s been some sabre rattling that we could see significant change here.

Do they take the big bucks of the paywall or look for FTA exposure - or a compromise?

I will try to answer your question, the NFL has approved DAZN as its worldwide broadcast partner and you can get GAMEPASS through DAZN that diooes not mean the NFL will not renew with SKY.For them it is about broadcast reach.

The interesting thing is the terrestrial TV deals, Monday Night Football on Channel 5 and NFL End Zone with Ms Cori Yarckin are productions by the NFL Network and are reasonably cheap.

The NFL also subsidised the programme with Osi and Jason on first BBC then ITV so it was a bit of a shock to learn just before round one began that the magazine show was axed and ITV coverage centred around two of the London games and the Superbowl. I cannot imagine that was in the NFL gameplan so it could be that this show moves back to either Channel 4 or the BBC.

However going by the way these things normally get sorted out in late August or just before the season commences.

You will see US College Football (including the game in Dublin on 23rd August) on SKY as that is a seperate deal with the NCAA.

And people should not tread anything into the affable Neil Reynolds bein on tour with Elite Sports travel. it does Neil good to get out of the studio every now and then as was the case last year.

Our current Tipping Champon R L Winger, a Steelers fan has had a bad day.

Dragons thrashed by the Dolphins and now this. Tomlin has not had a negative record in his time coaching the Steelers, that will change this season.

Does seem a move out of step with the unity that the Steelers like to build and the disruption that this quarterback brings.

He is now a circus.
