Jake Connor has been made available to go out on loan... 👀

A few quiet months at Featherstone would do him the world of good! 😉

Won't happen he thinks he's Nrl level.....similar to Harry Newman at Leeds. But in the real world........

Jake Connor is a dam good player..What he requires is a very strong coach bordering a father figure .Sometimes an arm round does wonders...If he was managed in a way that suits his needs as well as the clubs then I'm sure results would follow..He's a young man who clearly has ability. Harness it...

Shaun Wane comes to mind...

What he needs is some Wayne Bennett tough love. But he's never been good enough to warrant that.

Didn't know Connor was 30....

I stick with my untested opinion..He'd been brilliant if he got himself sorted..

I've seen so much wasted talent over the years.. Would I have him at Leigh?.

Brilliant question.

Yes I would because  the ability there.

Well the ability may well be there, it was originally when at Huddersfield, it was there at Hull, it is still also there again at Huddersfield but it seems he or any coach can't harness that ability regularly enough on the field, and considering what such a short fuse and petulance he has I wouldn't be to surprised if that also rears its head in the dressing room, As for Leigh signing him what everyone says who is involved ii the Leigh dressing room states it is as one, everyone is together, I wouldn't risk bringing him anywhere near it as good as he can be on his too infrequent days on the field.

We had a great season in 2022, we then signed Jake Connor and it's all gone to pot since, apart from the odd flashes he's been pretty poor in his return for us.

It will be interesting to see who we are interested in to replace him with Pryce gone and Flanagan out on loan ( the 2 who were going to b long term full back).

His next contract should be a low basic with high incentives - will not happen as FC will offer the bucks

We will? Are we even interested?

Go on.

You know you want to.

I'd take him on loan this season for sure. We've got nothing to lose and it'd be entertaining at least.

Wouldn't offer him a contract though unless he earns it.

Sounds as if we're not interested.

Don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved.

Have Hull fans not maxed out on disappointment yet this season?

Franklin Pele anyone? Think he would be potentially a good fit at Salford under Rowley.

Mick Gledhill reckons this signing is strong evidence Bulls will be in SL 2025/6

He's gone to Bradford.

I don’t really know how Pele has ended up in this state. Not slating York or Bradford but with his size, speed and power, he really should be doing better.

He's still only 23. His best years are ahead of him with the right coaching and club culture. From what I've heard he'll be back in Super League with Huddersfield next year. A full pre-season with Ian Watson or Nathan Brown (👀) should hopefully get him back on track.

It won't be with Watson

I can only assume it’s Ian Watsons ultimate goal to play 12 props and Leroy Cudjoe if that is the case.

With the new rules we have coming in no tackles above the armpit or upper chest players like Pele could be a big risk.

It will be a huge shift for the sport.

For 5 rounds. Then there'll be a raffle to determine which year's rules will be officiated to every week.

Louis Brogan now on a season long loan at Widnes, with Keanan Brand going there for a month loan as well. To be honest, was hoping we’d give them a run to see what they can do at Leigh.

Nathan Wilde on a month loan to Doncaster

Yes i was hoping to see both Brogan and Brand given some game time this season, especially now playoffs are gone barring a miracle run.

Would rather we loaned Norman out and had Brogan on the bench. Brand would have been a far better option than Chamberlain in the system that’s been played when McNamara and O’Brien have both been out as well.

Trinity have announced a 20 man squad for Sundays game against Barrow, with an announcement to be made at 7pm tonight. We're short on halves which suggests we have one incoming. Is there a half hanging around who isn't wanted at a particular club?!
