No, its me saying no one working in that kind of role uses "educated guesses and arbitrary figures", absolutely no one. Its a ridiculous thing to say.

Is this your version of:-

I cant argue with his point so ill just be outraged on his behalf instead.

So it was easier to insult him than address his point.

You genuinely believe it was all just finger in the air, arbitrary figures? Dont be so ridiculous, this is a professional outfit thats done this kind of thing previously. they wont be just winging it. Some of you really need to get a grip, by all means dislike the process and the aims but man, come on.

So, how was it done.

Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

If these clubs are ranked the same, it pretty much will come down to on field points.

But yeah, I'm in favour of P&R between Grade B clubs.

However, imagine the furore when Grade B London were relegated despite being above Grade A Hull, or even in future if we had 10 Grade A clubs and a team got relegated from 8th place or similar.

Dave, apologies if I'm reading this wrong but couldn't both scenario's you describe in the last paragraph happen next month, eg London finish above Hull and Toulouse replace Castleford?

Yes, and people don't like it. And that's my point, that other suggestions are flawed too and deliver similar problems.

If people don't like licensing, it's hard to come up with anything that is satisfactory.

And that's fine. People will have different preferences.

Interesting detail shared from Leigh.

One slightly pedantic point, unless this is an official IMG communication, it feels very naughty to use their branding on this.

So even with a year in the Championship to take into account the Bus Stop in Wigan gets a Grade A unofficially but that would not be put out unless Professionally Audited.

Well done to all concerned at Leigh.

Well it isn't confirmed, it's basically what they are submitting. But they should know what's going in.

And tbh, without going into the detail, the last couple of years have looked like what we should want from our top clubs. Competitive on the field, noisy off the field, good facilities, good crowd - if the finances stack up, then I don't see how anyone can complain about them being graded an A club.

Not sure why.

Most people were a bit more amused with Castleford being a potentially 'A' but that is down to the ground they play in, you don't have that issue.

If I recall correctly, clubs don't decide their own grading.

Clearly says submitted subject to audit. Last home game, released for all stakeholders. FFS.

Anyway well done to the club for trying to be transparent to all the fans, sponsors, players and all other people involved with the club. I’m sure players are relieved they are secure next year.

I’m replying to you on a FORUM, do you know how the process works or are you just trying to be hard work, every club has to submit their own data in September to the RFL for ratification and audit, leigh have submitted theirs and shared it with all stake holders, probably to drive confidence in the club for all fans, players, sponsors, staff and any other interested parties, it it clearly states this on the release, and clearly says SUBJECT TO AUDIT. Now for a club on the edge of the cut off point most people (clearly not you) would say this is generally a good idea being transparent to all parties.

You’re only issue is Derek so be honest about it and have courage in youre conviction.

Just a point - You have to go to the full release to get to that point.

It "clearly" isn't pointed out that it is "subject to audit" on the image they put out with IMG's logo on it.

Hence me saying to him twice earlier you clearly haven’t read the full release

I certainly haven't done the finishing-place maths for all the other clubs, but it may not be a given that Leigh's workings out are correct there. It can still be affected by other clubs performances.

Just because Leigh's finishing may add up to X, other club's positions still need to be determined. This may only mean -0.11 or 0.22 error perhaps...

If Derek's number crunchers are near, it won't matter...nor should it - they clearly deserve to be a SL club!

Well done, Leigh. I think they've been canny here publicising this. I wish we could see breakdowns for all clubs eventually.

I'm not criticising the club when I say that the fandom category doesn't seem to stretch clubs enough.

Well done, Leigh.

The gradings reward showmanship and making the game a spectacle in order to draw people in. Leigh have done that, whilst also being competitive on the field.

I wish Degsy would shut up about his legal actions because his club are a model for others in many ways.
