Interesting game that!

Good to see George Williams enjoying his game.  Danny Walker too.

Fines incoming caused by the dummies pelting the beer onto the pitch and just another reason for Wane not to select Connor.  The game that just kept giving 😂

I've enjoyed both semis.

Some outstanding rugby from Wigan and Warrington.

Agreed.  A highlights package of these two semi's would have some superb scores.

And people would watch it and still say 10 seconds later there is no skill in the game any more!

The chat was about attracting new fans.  My point is the fantastic tries scored would be a good start. And arguably much better than a close game would provide.

Obviously a close game with loads of great tries would be fantastic - but, as I say, I think we expect too much sometimes.  Neutrals just want to see quality and exciting play.

These past two games have done absolutely nothing for me, I fell asleep shortly after half-time yesterday, and was totally fed up with this today.

For every neutral you claim these games can attract, try losing 2 existing fans if these games become more prevalent.

I don't know what to say to you.

If you don't like two teams full of talent scoring great tries then maybe this sport isn't for you.

I know the lads are excited and rightly so ,but I find it difficult to follow the post game interviews.  They speak so fast . Well played wire

I don't see the point. Show them celebrating with the fans and families and let's hear from managers.

I also switched off for the last half hour, instead I googled whether close games get better viewing figures than blowouts, came across the below from Liverpool Uni research, showing that close games do indeed get better figures and as the game outcome becomes more certain people switch off. P7 & P8 are a good start!

It's left me looking forward to the final very much. If we get a dry track it could be a classic.

Before I read the paper, does it differentiate between existing fans and new fans as that was the topic in hand, not whether you or Harry turned the game off?

I'd like to think I'm pretty fair on these match threads. I can't speak for my fellow Wigan brethren though! Of course I know you will be fair and reasonable too. As for a certain Warrington fan in particular, not a chance 😂.

Watson still the man for the job? or is he on borrowed time? Its not really worked tbh, credit to Warrington today though as they were superb.

These two semis didn't do a great deal for me. Some nice tries aside, they were totally predictable and lacking tension.

I turned the comms down as well, as Newsum and co. are tiresome and staid.

That being said, the two standout teams are now in the showpiece. It could be a really good one.

Hopefully, I will watch these talented teams in a close contested final, if you like one sided affairs you can keep them I simply don't, that is why even being a season ticket holder at my club a couple of years ago I chose which games to go to the team were simply (as today and yesterday) far to good for their opposition and the majority of the games were a borefest, and as for this sport isn't for me I have been involved in it in all different manner of posts and disciplines for a very long time, and I will take a guess far far longer than you have, let's just agree to disagree what we both appreciate about this game.

Seeing as though you have been involved in the sport for a very long time, maybe next time don't jump in the middle a discussion about what may attract new fans to the sport just to state what you enjoy.

Burgess doing a great job with Wire, unlike Watson, who must be under some pressure now. That Huddersfield side just looks so slow. You can’t have a guy like Connor at fullback when the top sides are running Field, Morgue, Dufty, Welsby etc at teams. There’s no pace in the halfs either or out of dummy half and it just looks to easy to defend against.

Wire on the other hand look full of pace and they’re dangerous. The final should be a great game, with both sides having threat all over the place.
