The current economic climate has little to do with it, football crowds in the North West (and everywhere else) are booming, and they’re not all wealthy people.

I would have thought it would have a significant effect, so that's depressing reading if what you say is true.   The attendances at our major games / finals are on the decline.   Is this simply down to us having an older core fanbase that is not being replaced?   I accept that some smaller clubs on the up are doing better than they have historically, which is natural.

Some clubs have done a brill job in attracting new young fans.

Dragons

Leigh

Are the 2 real standouts this season how do i know we'll it's because I have watched around 40 SL matches this season so far and have seen it with my own eyes.

With season ticket holders, young and old, having to pay for entry to the play off games the chances of sell outs are slim. imho

Next years home crowds will be determined to a large extent by whether or not we are in Super League, obviously, and whatever the 2025 pricing structure will be. I don't expect the club to repeat this season's bargain basement offers and freebies.

Well paying over £250+ for my season ticket I’d have to disagree with the bargain basement offers. The only freebies were child tickets which you could only get via purchasing an adult season ticket ofcourse.

There is different price points for the different stands. This will likely remain but ofcourse these will raise should we get back in SL. But I expect almost all will take up the season tickets after a positive season.

As for the team playoff games. Doesn’t hurt to be enthusiastic. I’d still expect a good turnout. I’m looking forward to them and I’m sure every other of the 5000+ trinity fans will be too and hopefully some of less frequent fans turn up too.

Should see better away support than we’ve seen all season hopefully.

I think I paid about £250 in 2023 for North Stand (not including simultaneously buying a shirt early as a platinum member) but only about £150 this season.  Don't know what old East Stand cost in comparison to new one so can't comment.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Sales still look very sparse on Wigan’s ticket map.

Just looked and must admit I thought the opposite, especially if the Leigh end is filled (or due to be).

It would have to be 60% full to hit 12k and it looks that way, Leigh go on open sale tonight but I understand are well on the way to filling the stand and will then be allocated sections of the East?

The decent attendances at the weekend plus the excellent matches along with record TV viewing numbers will all assist with the next TV deal

Really encouraging. The playoffs after the excellent start at Salford have captured the imagination this year.

Just need to Leigh to beat Wigan and all will be well with the RL world this year!

The east stand opposite the camera is the concern. It currently looks about 1/3 full… hopefully will sell a lot more by Friday.

It still has a fair way to go to beat the play off record of 21,790 for Wigan v Saints in 2003.

Without wanting to pour water on this in RL style, have any other play off games been on the BBC or have they all been confined to Sky? If the latter that will explain the record viewing figures.

I think the old east was about £270/£280.

it’s great that you are committed to buy a north ticket at £250 but some won’t commit to a jump of £100.

This season it cost me about that using commit 6 but that no longer exists.

I’d expect next seasons prices will rise somewhat but probably between the two so not to have a big jump and scare a sway some away.

They will undoubtably go up in north and west though. Probably £150 > £200 in north and £100-150 in West or something like.

Think East will stay around £270-£280 mark.
