Saints injuries mentioned twice. No mention of Salford’s injuries other than Lafai.

True, Salford missing Brierley, Lafai, Ormondroyd and Cust.

Stone moved to centre to replace Lafai, strange one that given Watkins is a more natural replacement in that position.

Does anyone know the rules on that ‘missed kick’?

You have to genuinely make an attempt at kicking for goal I think the reasoning is once you’ve said you are going for goal the two touch judges go behind the sticks. The same thing happened many years ago when Sinfield did it against funnily enough Saints I think.

Yes, I remember Sinfield trying it and it got chalked off

I remember that one too. It was against Hull at Headingley.

How can the ref decide on this?

The refs opinion is all that matters in lots of decisions.

Pretty obvious that one as he missed by a mile while 2 players ran into the corner as he set his run off.

Does this now mean any try from a missed kick will be disallowed?

In my opinion it was another brilliantly thought out kick by Sneyd.

No. If a team makes a genuine attempt at goal, misses, and it's pounced on, that's fine.

It wasn't that well thought out because it's against the rules.
