Fev Rover i was going to pack it in after this season. Not because we are getting beat but because i don't agree with the IMG points scoring system. But although i will not be buying a membership i will attend when i think it will be a good game and not a formality either way.We have been well below the present standard before and going forward we need live within our budget and show a profit every season.so long as we don't get relegated and the players try i don't give. a fig for SL

We will still get a membership but we live in Featherstone unlike you,but we don't go away as much and that's our choice. It's a 'funny' one this season because we expected struggling or certainly not top 4,but imho at least i don't think this squad are as bad as we expected. It needs sorting out and QUICK, wether it's coach or the players or both. I delivered post for 40 years and met many people ( including loads of players) and a lot of  Featherstone people have always been the same, they either aren't interested, stopped going when SL came in,rather spend their money in pub or get fed up of failure most season's. You will always have your diehards and a lot ( thankfully) from Ponte etc etc and £20 for a oap didn't help. I was fed up of hearing them complain and that's their choice but they expect a good team on field so how do we pay for them if it doesn't go up ? Anyway it's a game of RL not life or death.

I know you lost by 20 but actually I thought Fev played ok. Toulouse were excellent in defence and even Wakey would have struggled to penetrate that imo. Good performance from the French. Lacans looked lightweight to me and the captain didn’t really lead from the front. Impressed with the two hookers, Minikin, the fullback and Turner. The forwards looked strong and well organized but got no change from the French defending. Disappointed that Gale hardly got the ball to run with. Too many handling errors in perfect playing conditions and too many silly pens conceded though the ref probably could have done more to curb the aggression.

Nice to hear the oppositions view, cheers.

We did defend better in the middle.First try Turner had two men running at him so was a bit indecisive our winger on safari not for the first time this season.Second try two players who have been out Hardcastle and Lacans poor attempt to tackle. And the third try Eden turned inside out made yet another mistake .Think it was worth trying Turner in the centre but he is more dangerous nearer the middle. He can use his step and find gaps against bigger tired defenders.I would not have played Lacans against Toulouse after all that time out with a bad injury .Would have started Jones and not Bowes at 9.Why did we get Eden when we have two wingers spare in Wynne and Wakocoke. The coaches team selection is strange at times.

complained about other wingers but what has Eden offered? Lost possession, missed tackles, out of position.

Might be harsh on Lacans, but after a long injury layoff, should we not just play our best half back pairing, which is surely Patton and Turner?

You got to understand M Fordy not daft he will have seen on that so called social media fans calling for his head and saying can't wait for Thomas to get back so even though Patton and Turner head and shoulders the best two half's Thomas straight back in to try and get Fordy back  in the fans good books

What rubbish ! Ford had to try a new pairing out, haven't had a settled side all year, with injuries and DR, it's a vital game on Sunday, but it's as much the players as the coach to sort things out.

Back from Toulouse having consumed far too much "hospitality".

Struggling to see where the next win comes from, lose against 'haven and we can look forward to an away trip to Cornwall.

Did think the defence was improved, but that lack of ideas in attack is very worrying.

How much longer can Ford hang on?

Now the bad. That increased aggression was often badly channelled, we gave away loads and loads of penalties for late hits or high tackles, and what's worse, lots of them were late in the tackle count. I don't know what the penalty count was but most of them looked fair calls and we didn't give ourselves much chance.

On top of that, stating the obvious but we again lacked any penetration in attack. To be fair Toulouse were extremely solid in defence and I don't think it's a coincidence that that's the third game in a row where they have nilled the opposition, but we didn't help ourselves with the repeated unforced errors when we had the ball.

Kept a tally whilst I was watching the game back and we gave away 15 penalties, including 6 for high tackles, 3 for late hits, and 3 for interference at the PTB.

We made 11 errors, including 9 knock ons (to be fair Toulouse made 8 errors including 7 knock ons).

Might have to do without Patton for a while looking at the RFL disciplinary sanctions today. States Grade F 6+.

Par for the course this season.

We've already done that on the other thread.

We need to lift the curse on our half backs. Lacans, Reynolds, Patton, Turner (Addy) all of whom have had injury or pending suspensions. Left  in the lurch by one in particular. Eden didn't fit in there and Aekins a much better full back. Halifax could be rubbing their hands next week.
