We've struggled with set completion all season and a lot of that possibly comes down to fitness (or lack of), something we've been good at previously since the days of Powell.

There certainly looks to be a lack of fitness, it's been mentioned by a few supporters.

It's not beyond the realms of possibilities that we beat Wakey and then lose every other match. We are just playing like St Helens at the moment and it's not good enough 😩

Don't think you will get within spitting distance of wakey.

Can't remember when we played so badly over 80 min.We made very little headway up the middle while Donny made yards more.Even Connor Jones looked a shadow of his past performances. But why we keep starting with Bowes i don't get it.Only players to reach acceptable levels were Reynolds,Day, and Wynne .It's nearly 20 years since we were in this state and then we didn't have debts of over £1 million.Crowd voting with their feet that extra £5 for OAP.s is starting to bite, the bar was very quiet less than 20 in there.Ford picks the loan players and dual regs  so he is responsible for not moulding the team into a unit. This loss finishes any feint chance of a play off position.Well deserved win for a Donny side who were trounced at York.Stronger ,quicker  more organised with a coach Richard Horn who knows the time of day.If Ford is here next season i am not.

How can you blame the use of Dr and loanees for the team not bonding.  Of all teams fev have been the ones who have used and abused it, but that's OK when your winning.

Very few Fev supporters like dual reg or short loans. When we had money we could get some players from Batley and Dewsbury but those days have gone.We had our chance and blew it.

It's called light hearted banter to ease the pain of being a Fev fan. I didn't abuse you on your forum when you lost to Dewsbury did I? Go suck your lemons on someone else's forum or you will be in danger of increasing our IMG points.. I was aware and glad that Batley gave Wakey a run for their money but it was fantastic when we beat them earlier.

Any other coach would have been sacked by now. Ford clearly isn’t up to the job and needs to go before it’s too late.

Let's face it - its down to £££, i said as soon as he got made up job he was definitely next coach.

Heard a rumour several times that he's signed another contract for 2 years but the club won't announce it...for obvious reasons.

Look at your post further down about Fevs apparent abuse of the DR situation. I do recall Fev were one of a few clubs against DR on its Inception. So it was a matter of if you can't beat them join them and we had a successful period at the beginning with Leeds and brought on some of their kids to be stars. Most fans hate DR and I'm one.

90% of clubs were against dual reg and during the years teams have definitely abused it, we had a partnership with Hull fc which no fan wanted and although we saw the occasional quality player at the keepmoat I'd say it was a failure, at the peak point of when dual reg started fev had the luxury of bringing in the likes of carvell, sykes and wood to name a few.

The one that fell out with other people choosing the players to sign? Not sure that would be a good fit.

Yes that’s him. I think I know what you mean by your comment but I am not 100% sure. Are you intimidating that’s what happens at FR and therefore Matt Foster would not be good fit?

Matt Foster is a local lad. He started playing rugby with Rockware juniors, and then went to Keighley. Would he do a job at Fev, maybe. He seemed to be doing alright at Keighley. I don't think he can be any worse, because whatever Ford is doing in training, and saying on a matchday isn't working.

Something needs to happen.

There were 5 who opposed it in its (sort of) present form back in 2013 - IIRC Barrow, Fev, Halifax, Leigh and Sheffield.  Hardly 90%.

Most supporters dislike Dr, I for one don't like it.  I think it was monkey man that said a couple of seasons ago that he isn't bothered where a player comes from as long as he has a fev shirt on when he crosses that try line. So some folk out there couldn't give a hoot about who plays for their team or where they are from. Scrap Dr for me all day long.

With a chance of promotion to SL i can see why clubs went along with it to strengthen their teams. But next season there is no need for it.Have 26 players  who represent the club and bar injuries and bad form try to play a settled team the supporters can bond with every week. With SL off the table that should be able to be achieved under a wages budget of 400k or under. It would make an interesting Championship if most clubs kept to the same wage structure.

There was no promotion in 2013...in fact it wasn't until 2015, and the Super 8s, that a Championship club could gain 'promotion'

Why spend money with no promotion there is no incentive. So you finish top of a dying Championship and get a tin plate. Will supporters be happy with that.

The body language from the players was really poor, half... no more than half... didn't look as if they were bothered about the game or the outcome. To me that is the coach has no respect from the dressing room.

Toby Warren looked as if he would rather be anywhere else apart from PO Road, send him back.

Not sure I am going to keep coming to games until I see that players are putting the effort in. I can accept losing, but not attempting to compete is not on.

Last night was the first game I can remember leaving before the end.

Will you stop with your facts? It is spoiling a perfectly normal RL thread.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
