Line in the sand

Recommended Posts

To state the obvious there's been alot of back and to on ballas  thread ,alot of bashing , accusations, slander to a degree and some just down right stirring motivated by let's face it Vendetta, but here's a suggestion, the EGM is the perfect opportunity to listen to the chairman, get a real valid review of the current situation, voice your concerns or opinions, and drawer that line in the sand ,if the situation is dire or troubling let's  actually offer our services in whatever capacity we can ,put personal grudges aside for the better of the club, every club needs a strong foundation,a strong group of people that love the club,if theirs problems, help solve them rather than sit outside throwing stones ,theirs clearly people on here and I'm sure I know who a few are and I'd never doubt they love the club, but unless that criticism, nit picking is turned into something positive then the cycle will forever continue, and that goes for the chairman ,he needs to be willing to accept help wherever it comes from ,it needs others within the club to keep their trivial pettiness to themselves.we dont want to be a worky ,a haven ,we've all called out an EGM,we've got one don't waste the opportunity to either turn things around or make things prosper depending on what's said ,saddest thing in sport is seeing people loving a sport or club and just sitting on their thumbs for personal reasons, this club could be a serious force if we all sung off the same hymn sheet, see you on the 31st ,one club, work together !!!!

Might bring a 50p tub of salt with me and leave it on the food counter for people to put on their chips.

It irks me that people are getting paid to provide a worse service than when it was manned by volunteers.

Are only Season Ticket, Debenture Holders, etc. permitted to attend the EGM, or can anyone go? As a regular paying supporter am I only allowed to attend the AGM?  Hope someone can inform me. Thank you.

No. It's not a public meeting, you have to be a member (debenture holder).

"...the election of directors shall be by poll and article 22 states that every member present in person or by proxy shall have one vote and an additional vote in respect of each pounds worth of debentures held up to a maximum of 25,000 votes"

Contact Karen Heighton and ask about purchasing some debenture. I think £10 is the minimum for a vote plus additional votes for the number of debentures held.

Here we go again.

Main food bar 14:50, I asked for a meat and potato pie.

Glad I looked at it when it arrived - it was practically incinerated! I refused to accept it and asked for another and was told that was the last one.

Doubly astonished:

A. That the cheeky sod tried to foist inedible food off on me, hoping I wouldn't notice.

B. IT WAS THE LAST PIE! They'd run out of a rugby ground staple ten minutes before the match started.

Shoddy.

People spending money in the ground is a basic lynchpin of club income and a mainstay of the match day experience. They need to get it right. It's gone downhill rapidly.

Losing income and paying people to make things worse is barmy.

I had a burger and chips just before 1 o clock yesterday , I couldn’t fault it. Have to say it was a decent burger, much better than the skinny things that used to be served.

I can't argue with that, though there's always the uneasy feeling that next time you go they'll have run out of cheese/onions/buns/chips/sauce/forks/salt or whatever. It's pot luck. Adds to the excitement, I suppose.
