Recommended Posts

Been confirmed that Jarrod Sammut has joined Bradford on loan to the end of the season. Good luck to him and thanks for his efforts in the blue and white.

The guy is just a mercenary, with no loyalty, The club will save a fortune on wages now.

Good luck to Jarrod and thank you for your efforts.

Bit of an odd signing this one, we let him go mid season to work abroad and then loan him out when he returns? What was the point in bringing him to town in the first place? Those funds could’ve been spent elsewhere.

If you were a coach or a boss and an employee got up and went to a better-paid job for a few months would you want him back? let Bradford pay his wages for the remainder of the season.

If I were his boss I wouldn’t have granted him the permission to go. It’s a shame it hasn’t worked out this time round for Jarrod at the club as he’s a great player and a good guy.

It was a brave move to invest money in him but unfortunately it just didn’t work out. At a fraction of his best he should have stood out in this league but whether it be age, lack of desire or fitness it just never happened. A sound move to loan him out, with Ciaran Walker presumably available again and the way Buffer and Burnsy have been playing he wouldn’t have got in the team.

Yeah good luck to Jarrod, but realistically he would have been 4th choice at half back, with forber and burns nailing down there places and I'm not sure what's going on with walker but hopefully he'll be back sooner rather than later

I thought he would be the x factor we needed when we signed him, but for whatever reason he didn't really shine. Him breaking his contract to disappear off to Iran mid season was very disappointing ( but if the money on the rumour mill was correct some will say it was justified) Personally I think he should have had the spine to have honoured his contract.

If my memory serves me right when he signed it was funded by the blue knights, and it's those that I feel most sorry for. They and whoever sponsored him no doubt dug deep to fund the deal, and he has really rubbed their noses in it IMO. So I think it's right he never pulls on a town jersey again. He has ruined his legacy here for me, I loved watching him the first time around but its all a bit sour now. At least loaned out  to Bradford he won't cost the club any more money and we can close the door on him for good. The name on the back of the jersey is never as big as the badge on the front. UTT.

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Jarrod kept us up on his own first season for the Club , he was immense , 2nd season , missed half of it with one thing and another . This season has done nothing and anyway who would you drop to get him in the side ....answer no one .
