Luke Nelmes commits immediate future to Hornets

 

Rochdale Hornets forward Luke Nelmes has extended his stay at the club for the upcoming 2025 season.

The 31-year-old made the move to Rochdale from local rivals Oldham prior to the start of the 2024 campaign.

He has been an ever-present figure in the back row - the former Dewsbury Rams and Halifax Panthers powerhouse has featured 17 times with two tries to his tally so far.

Nelmes expressed his delight at signing a new contract with the club, saying: "I'm absolutely buzzing to re-sign for the Hornets.

"I've loved my time at the Hornets so far. it's a club full of good people who all want the same thing out of this year which is of course to secure promotion.

"I’m sure we will build even stronger going into 2025."
