Funny thing about this is that last week the CEO was all over Facebook saying how skint they were, how he was basically running the show alone, people running round raising money, then announcing that former directors had come back to help out. They are obviously the ones causing the difficulty!

if they don't fulfil rest of the fixtures , RFL will award a 48 nil win to teams that have still to play them is what i have seen , whether that is correct or not or just hearsay .  always enjoyed my trips up to Whitehaven, but were struggling financially last season as well and still managed to sign overseas players.

Aye it can't be easy to run a championship club but they don't seem to have learnt a lot from last seasons tribulations. Still, hope they manage to find a way to carry on.

How can that be right ? 48-0 ? Apparently if they don't finish the season ,the teams who have beat them will lose their points.

I think 48-0 was the last sanction for failing to fulfill a fixture. Personally, l would just remove their results from this season if they don't complete it. That means removing points from teams who have beaten them. Seems the fairest way.

I'm fairly sure that in 2009, when Doncaster nearly went belly-up mid season, there was talk of their results being expunged (if that's the word) if they were unable to complete their fixtures.

As you say, that seems the fairest solution.

Wasn't London Skolars and West Wales declared 48-0 results when they failed to complete their matches during the season.

As far as I know RL Operating Rules states a 48-0 score. They should stick to a rule which they formulated! Not that it matters now, but I hope they didn't pick up any more injuries at Dews, or they'll be playing 9's next!
