We do need an additional half back. When Dean was injured and it came to stick and lift, Long chose Ellis over Astley. Ellis has now gone.

Definitely agree with this, same goes for when Craven was missing, our fluidity in the halves suffered.Wildie did a good job filling in but Championship is a different beast,I thought Patton controlled the game when we played swinton, that's the type of quality we are up against

One of the advantages of league one was occasional gaps which meant players could catch a break. This won't happen next year. DC was excellent last year and dean showed us only glimpses of his true potential.  Logan did not kick on as much as was hoped but he has scope to improve as a half back. Another quality player in this role can't be a bad thing for sure!

If confirmed it will be a great signing, and a marker for the progress of the club.

Who are we thinking it is?

Well, if I'm reading the room right his first name starts with a J and second name with an M, he's Australian,  a half back and has just been released by Cas.  Narrows it down to a shortlist of one. 🙂

Not the person I've been told. If my Intel is correct our signing is better

Hmmmm……I’m not sure I’d want him, he’s not massively impressed me.
