Club achieves first ever place in play-offs

With North Wales Crusaders losing to Rochdale today, Midlands Hurricanes are confirmed as participants in the post-season play-offs for promotion to the Championship. While it might be too early for the club to make that jump, the experience of getting to this stage will be immensely important to future campaigns.

We play Hunslet at the Alexander Stadium on Saturday while Workington are away at Oldham with those results determining who plays at home in the first game of the mini-tournament.

Excellent, well done to all concerned.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
