At 7.45 we have:  Reynolds 44, Arnold 11, Jones 10, Patton 8, Addy 5, Day 5, Hardcastle 3, Spreinger 2, Locxkwood 2.

Not only is Reynolds on course to win the forum MOTM for the fourth game running, he's been almost unanimous on each occasion.

He's got 14 of the 15 first-place votes for this game
He had 14 of the 15 first-place votes for the Toulouse game
All 10 first-place votes for the Bradford game
And all 9 first-place votes for the Widnes game.

Can't remember any player having such a sustained run of dominance in these votes.

No votes since Tuesday. Will give it a bit longer today and then close this game voting down. Hope we keep Reynolds.

Yep and he's really deserved it.  There is an argument that its been a long time since we've had a proper game managing type half-back in the team for a sustained run.  Plus its been during a winning run and halves tend to be up there for the motm vote in a winning team.

But who would have thought when he was sin binned in that Donny away game then went off to Hull that he would be here now and managing to change peoples opinion of him (well mine anyway).  No doubt about his creativity and tries but his defence and commitment at times have been a revelation (e.g. winning the high kick and scoring against Barrow).  He must be in the best goalkicking form of his career as well.

Agree with this post 100%, I can only assume he's had a "grass isn't always greener" moment, it's really interesting that having wanted to leave us to play in SL he asked to come back here when he was starting and playing pretty well at Hull FC. I'd like to think that augurs well for our chances of keeping him in 2024.

As for changing people opinion of him...that's my view too, I must admit I pretty much thought good riddance when he left us and was a bit sceptical when he returned but his attitude and commitment has seemed fantastic since he returned, as you say his tackling has been fantastic for a player whose defence has sometimes been regarded as shakey, and his goalkicking has been flawless - I think he's 30 from 30 since his return.
