We announced some 2025 retainings a while ago at a forum, although there's no news article. I'm pretty sure Jones was one of the players on that list. I have noticed though that other clubs are announcing retainings and signings for 2025 while we have radio silence.

What players are actually signed for 2025 if any, and what rumours have been going around seen a few places jones off to Sheffield

A poster called FR23 stated on this forum that Jones had signed for Sheffield, but Jones was one of the players confirmed as having re-signed at the club's fans' forum a couple of months ago along with Springer, Lacans, Day, Addy and Minikin, which to me looked a very solid start to recruitment/retention.

We were also linked with Bailey O'Connor & Callum Turner (along with Beckett obviously) some months ago and on the Dewsbury forum it was widely stated that those were done deals.

Personally, I'm quite happy for us to keep radio silence, at least as far as new signings are concerned; we all know deals have been going on across the league for much of the year for 2025 but for me it kind of spoils the season when another club announces one of your players whilst they're still playing for us in 2024 so I'm happy if the club waits until the end of the season to start announcing new recruits. It also means there's something to look forward to when the season's over!

As far as the remaining retentions are concerned my guess is that some will have been resolved but some will drag on and the ones that aren't resolved just stand out when others are announced and get fans more antsy so perhaps that's why we haven't had any more news lately.

O'Connor will be a great signing for you next year. Has easily been our best player this year in a poor side.

Where will he play tho, I’ve seen he’s played a lot of fullback but wears the 4 jersey

I see turner as a full back and not a halfback aswell

He is a lower Championship player or League 1 .A decent kicker but lacks pace if we sign him it will be because we can't afford better.

Jonny Mitsias ripped us apart when we played them and lightening fast.

He did have a good game against us, I wouldn't say ripped us apart and he dropped the ball on the first tackle at a crucial stage.

He looked a fair player but he's scored one try all season and hasn't featured much in the MOTM voting on the Batley forum. But I haven't seen him much bar that game at our place.

Jayden Hatton.

Thats the rumour going around Swinton, he has been our best player this year. Mind you the rumour was started by the Game Caller so its probably 50/50 at best

Seems to be a lot of backs we’re signing or linked with not seen any forwards yet, as good as some of our pack have been I think springer has had his worst season for us so far and Albert hasn’t been consistent so some new faces through the middle wouldn’t hurt
