What's happened since Tolouse at home? No where near as good, since ,that got the fans right behind the team. Edited September 17 by Fevrover 1

Following this logic most other Championship clubs will surely adopt the same approach, so it will still be a competitive league, albeit it at a slightly lower standard. 2 Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
jamescolin Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I have watched Fev since 1938. I have seen lots of ups and downs. I will continue to support them and look to a better future. I will not throw my towel in. 7
haskey Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Same here JC I started watching Rovers in 1955 when i came down with my parents from Scotland, when dad got a promotion. As you say I have seen the best and worst of our team but I still go to all home games and local games away.I have no reason nor interest in quitting. 2
Featherstonerovers2000 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Callum field has left Widnes and saying wants time away from rugby . I’d happily take him back played well for us when he played

Monkeymagic22 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Thought that Ford sounded a bit more positive in his latest interview. A bit more encouraging. 1

Has easily been our best player this year in a poor side. O'Connor swept the board at the Dewsbury end-of-season awards tonight - players' player of the season as well as winning the coach's and supporters' awards "I won’t engage in a debate because the above is correct and if anything else is stated to the contrary it’s incorrect."

Should score a lot of tries at Fev. If he goes well it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets a go at a lower end SL team as he’s only young. Not sure where Callum Turner will fit in though. I wouldn’t of thought he’d be good enough for Fev. Edited September 28 by Rambo

People keep saying this but he'll be handy squad cover and he'll presumably act as Aekins' back-up at full back, but also whilst none of us Fev fans really like seeing Aekins at half back it's an inescapable fact that he's had to do so on numerous occasions over the last two seasons so having a competent back-up could be useful. You'd also think he won't be on a huge wage. "I won’t engage in a debate because the above is correct and if anything else is stated to the contrary it’s incorrect."

I actually thought that Turner had a good game at Fev last week. He put himself about a bit. Whereas O'Connor was a little quieter though I know he is a classy player having seen him on some of the highlights on YouTube.
Squidward Posted September 28 Posted September 28 This is exactly as I saw it. Clearly O'Connor is the better player. You can't argue against his awards recognition but there were more than a few glimpses of decent ability from Turner which I witnessed. Turner definitely looked good enough for our squad and more than adequate to play full back when called on. 2

The word is (rightly or wrongly) that he isn't interested in an ephemeral spot in SL as he has a good, well paid full time job with prospects outside of RL. He is a sound lad with his head screwed on together with some real talent - he will do well at Fev. Also Turner kicked Sheffield off the park yesterday with a masterful display of game management. He might not be the fastest in the game but he has a good footballing instinct. Calum Turner is a talented skilful player but I'm not sure he is quick enough to be a Championship half back. But with a better pack in front of him, he will do better. Liam Finn wasn't the fastest. 1

Monkeymagic22 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 In his latest interview after the York match, Ford was again incredibly positive about next year and beyond. So hopefully things look better for next year. Certainly the players we have been linked with, young up and coming Championship players, has to be the way to go, as opposed to over the hill SL players. 2

Catflap Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Fev team look unfit and lethargic, so god only knows what Fraud does with em in training

Ford is staying because of the boss, get rid of Hardman, Eden, for starters. Another tough year ahead , the good times are over!
