Think he's had a couple of injuries and as you say he played back row at Donny when he did play. He hasn't kicked on quite as much as seemed likely, though it's worth noting his big year with us was in that golden 2019 spell when everything seemed to go right for us for a few months. If the rumours are true we are going to have plenty of centres signed up already anyway.

Ye Alex has been unlucky this year. I think nikau Williams broke his jaw and was out for 2 months. He also had a metal leg brace on after that and was out another 4 weeks I think. He seemed to be hitting form toward the back end. I believe he only joined on a 1 year deal. Hoping he's resigning but the Don's have only announced the first renewal today so I think there's guna be some positive news for the Don's fans coming soon

Bradford have announced 14 departures, granted some have already found other clubs or are returning home but the list might be worth a look at. Apparently John Davies, along with a couple of others,  not offered another contract.

Can't imagine JD returning after last years rebuff, but wish he would !

There aren't many on that list that would be of serious interest in my view, as others have said JD is taking a year out, Fulton's a good player but they would have kept him had he not wanted to go back to Australia, Makin is Wigan's player, and the others are either past their best, returning from injury, or not really top-half Championship level.

Agree one of my favourite players and i was outspoken against us letting him go.But i think we need to build a younger squad with a limited playing budget.

A fine servant to the Club while he was here, but bringing him back wouldn't be for me.

Interesting from club statement on IMG grading

We know we have put together a very strong team for 2025 which will be highly competitive

Well, if we just give up the club will wither and eventually die. That's not the Rovers way. We have to keep showing the powers that be that we are still around and that we won't go away. So we need to be competitive both on and off the field and this is the time the club needs the fans more than ever.

"Out of the way, son. Where's my medal?" Alex Murphy's immortal words as David Hobbs scores his 2nd try in the '83 Cup Final!

Winning the championship and 1895 are achievements in their own right.

There's bonus IMG points on the line and finishing higher up the ladder also gives us more points.

We can moan about the new reality all we like, but that's not going to achieve anything.  The areas we need to work on are clear, it's up to the club (and supporters) to do that work.

Make sure you like and share all the club's twitter and facebook posts etc, it's a really effective way of both increasing the club's reach (and therefore hitting potential customers) and improving our scores that doesn't cost anyone a penny. Social Media is a numbers game, the more people you reach, the more engagement you get, which then gets customers to buy your product.

And for central funding purposes the IMG points table now appears to be more important than the league table.

Even if you can still do it at that age, you are still more likely to pick up injuries and you don't heal as quickly. Was my favourite along with Jack Bussey, but both, and others, would need the opinion of a medical expert before being offered a contract.

Agreed. Have you seen how they are adjusting the benchmarks for SM interactions? This could make it such a challenge for the smaller clubs that they might be tempted not to bother.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

TBH, I thought the current benchmarks were very low. My little micro business blows away the engagement metric with only around 1/4 the followers that Barrow have. (the only champ club I've seen that has published a detailed analysis).

I am not surprised. Many RL clubs still don't appreciate that, just like every other business, they are selling a product that has to be promoted imaginatively.
