We move forward to a very important game, which could decide whether we're still 8 or better on Sunday teatime. What do we need to do to take the points?

A lot better than the last two games that's for sure! We seem obsessed with just going through the basics 5 drives and a high kick hoping someone will drop it! Like Ive said  before we need something diffrent, because basically all we are doing is giving the ball back to the opposition every set! Woods could take the line on a bit more the odd 40/20, a chip through on the last play, instead of just trying to barge over all the time, shoot 3 of the opposition 🤣anything as long as  it helps!!

Two words; absolute rubbish. Two more; no change. Two more; same moves. Two more; producing nothing. Any advance?

This has got to be down to poor coaching, or players not sticking to the plan . Or we are just a poor side. Maybe all 3.....

Probably not a bad thing. No play off place. Not economical anyhow save brass towards massive rebuild next season. By the way tom hooley I wasn't there so save your breath.

Woods just have an off day though I'm guessing

That's 8 words! But I agree another tough one to watch today, we had more than enough possession to put points on the board but yet again nothing to show going down hill, donny had 3 attacks and scored 3 times, over two games that's 70 points to nil against donny, and only 2 tries scored in the last 3 games 2 of which have been at home and all round only 12 points scored  and 86 against it's tough watching batley at the moment!  It's hard to put your finger on what it is! Could it be  that the mentality of the players is we are safe now and nothing to play for, is that we have an ageing squad and it's starting to show or is it coaching? Is mokko the man to take us forward? I guess that will down to who he is allowed to bring in, I never doubt the effort of the boys as it's hard for anyone to step out onto the field and nobody wants to lose but something has to change!

Woods played well today imo

Kicked well went at the line and was just short on three occasions  ,put the centre in for a certain try who somehow managed to throw the ball in touch with a clear line in front of him.

Problem is for me at the minute the play the ball is miles to slow, distribution from the ruck at times shocking and no speed linking in around the back

The awards have been second best for last 4 games now imo.

But what is expected on  a low budget  where the team have over performed for a few seasons  but now father time is catching up on several players

They will beat whitehaven and stay up ,the reality is that is about right

Would you rather be where we are or where dewsbury, whitehaven and halifax are where players aren't getting paid .

The board live to there means which as got to be commended. Been a tough few weeks ,a small squad players looking fatigued and have had very little help from cas all year other than hooley.

We were bullied all day by a physically bigger team. Confidence is low at the moment, for whatever reason. Team effort, so unfair to blame Woods and White for the loss. Doncaster were just bigger and better than us, ofcourse their budget helps.

We weren’t bullied at all we had 85% of the ball first half and couldn’t score… second half again we have a couple of chances

can’t blame budgets or money but we look like a team who doesn’t know each other atm… miles apart from the last few years

I'm sure that isn't what you meant but there has been no problems with paying players at Dewsbury.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

I didn't mean Dewsbury to be fair to them .

Halifax have signed some good players for next season which could well be free agents .

I feel for whitehaven but the community have failed to support the team  300 there on occasions is unsustainable.

People have to remember  that alot of the players ha e physical jobs ,play on Sunday back to work Monday training 3 days a week  at least 2 16hour days per week ,it is not  easy and takes its toll eventually

Lots of points raised; ageing squad, hasn't been addressed over last couple of seasons, brought in Cooper, younger but still no kiddie. Several obviously staying around in 2025 as there are 3 testimomials. 2025 could be worse without new, capable blood. Recruitment ongoing; we'll need to free up some cash from losing a number of current players to use their money, who goes? Clearly several must. Mokko; is he the man? Lingard thought so, often said Mokko was the main man behind recent success, have players got past being coached or kicked off against new stuff? Is there any new stuff, as we've clearly been sussed. Halfbacks; struggling to create anything, today 2nd half Woods was camped out wide short stand side most of the half. Are they not creating because of their inability or inability of the men around them. Forever running out wide today into dead-ends whilst Ward, ready to eat razor wire today, was ignored in every move in Donny's 10 whilst Pauli, Matagi etc were fed at pace and when running direct. Plenty to suck on, but we're facing a pasting next week otherwise.

That performance has to be a massive wake up call. You should not be getting steamrollered at home like that against a team as inconsistent and poor as the Dons. Two old has beens scoring seven try’s between them. Dogs squad needs massive shake up.

Should be ok for avoiding the bottom 2, but unless they beat Whitehaven,  the playoff decider looks a distinct possibility.

Exactly this. A few weeks ago 20 points looked to be enough to leave us clear of any problems- mainly because we had a far better points difference than all the clubs around us. Now Halifax have turned the points situation round, Swinton are closing in on our total and we have Bulls and Toulouse away to come. Whitehaven is now a must win- lose that and almost certainly we'll be in the knock out match versus the League 1 play off winners and whilst that should be well within our capabilities of winning, if we go into that on the back of six straight defeats- well, who knows. Looks like the club have become complacent, put the cue on the rack too early. It can't be that they value the derbies against Dewsbury that much, can it?

You sound like an absolute melt fella! You honestly think we're poor despite putting 2 duck eggs on you and racking up 64 points? I've always enjoyed visiting your ground and the championship is better with batley in it but calling us poor is a bit disrespectful, concentrate on your own poor and inconsistent performances and we will see you again next season. ( by the way the 2 old has beens are 33 and just turned 30 ).
