Apart from Trinity vs Haven, several of these games look like they could go either way.

Barrow might fancy their chances against Toulouse - last 3 home games a win against Swinton, a draw against Bradford and a win against Sheffield Eagles. Until last few weeks, most of us would have expected Sheffield to beat Bradford at home. It's pretty much a knock-out game for York at Widnes, expecting that one to be a real battle.

A couple of upsets this weekend I reckon. Some players may be a bit distracted by the lack of a wage packet, amongst other reasons.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Did you not say on the other post the players had agreed to still play? Apologies if it wasn't you

Yeah was me but seeing one is playing RU this weekend has me thinking that like a lot of things coming out of the club, it might just be talk. No squad announcement yet and it is usually out by dinner time.

Who's playing RU? There's a squad on the rugby league match centre

Ed Barber. At least the squad is out but like we have seen all season the squad has included players who are not available so until we got a team named I am still a little bit worried.

I am listening to the BBC radio Cumbria commentary of Barrow v TO, can someone get a message through at half time and ask them to turn the microphone on for the 2nd commentator? She sounds like she is at the other end of the pitch!

Appreciative applause from all in the stadium when Whitehaven score on 78 minutes.

Slugfest in the rain at Widnes, I don't think either side made a clean break all game. Territory tended to be gained by penalties or errors and York had the better of it. One try a piece, both from kicks, the York one coming from what looked like a 40/20 attempt that bounced back into the hands of the chasers.

Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

Fantastic 1st half defensive performance from the Dons today. To hold Batley out after spending what seemed an eternity on our own line and with Batley playing down the pitch was unbelievable. Should be safe from relegation and planning for next year fingers crossed.

Special mention for Pauli Pauli. Played the entire 1st half uphill, only came off with 10 to go and 2 unstoppable tries. Joy to watch

Dewsbury acquitted themselves well, but Halifax had too much for them overall.

Ed Barber won MOM, even though every time he got tackled he reached back and placed the ball behind him and led the Shay in a chorus of Swing Low Sweet Chariot pre-game.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Pity he didn’t show that kind of commitment when he played for the Knights, genuinely pleased for Donny for what they have done this season, it is a big step up from League 1.
