Awful scheduling, but I think Rowley would still have picked the same squad had this game been played on Friday

Yes, perhaps.

The optics of a probable lop-sided result first-up deflates the battle for the LLS. I agree with some others that the KR v Leeds game would have been a better game to pull forward, although I find the disrespect in Sky's last-minute shifting extremely off-putting.

HKR can't afford to slip up so they won't rest players, or they will be 3rd.

If Salford play the few first team lads they have named, then Wigan by about 30/40. If they rest Partington, Nikorima etc, then Wigan by about 60-70 points.

Makes sense, no point risking any players realistically when so many of the first choice players have already been given the night off. 

If those guys are being left out, it could get a bit messy but it'll matter little in the grand scheme of things.

I think Wigan might take the foot off the gas and maybe take some of the star players off soon as they hit a 20 point advantage so might not be a massive blow out.

The game time would be useful for Nikorima and Ormondroyd. I'd be amazed of Partington played though.
