SL Grand Final Advertising

Maybe a geeky thread.

Only half watched, but I saw the advertisement for the Grand Final last night on Sky Sports, basically a feature with Carney at Old Trafford, followed by the graphics that we are seeing all over social media advertising the GF. 

I must say, I'm finding the approach pretty nice and the branding around the ads and Grand Final overall quite impressive. A few moaned here recently that thebimagery they used didn't feature Leigh, I made the point that they'll update versions based on the top 6 and they have. 

The test series stuff is pretty nice looking too. Not sure if were using a new agency or similar, but it all looks far nicer imo.

anyone seen anything outside Facebook and Sky Sports?

Related note, I saw this Sky billboard advert in Horsforth a couple of weeks ago. Wondered if it's one of a series?

They’ll be zero promotion for the test series with Samoa on the BBC .

Why would the BBC promote something that is a month away?

When have the BBC ever promoted something a month in advance?

Seen ads for the GF on instagram as well agree look good.

My commute home features a Salford RL one, a Bolton Wanderers one and a Leigh RL one. Sky Sports+ related.

Given said commute is within 400 yards of fake Old Trafford, I will be keeping an eye on Grand Final adverts. Preferably featuring Leigh.

There's a big Rhinos one visible from the inner ring road up on Vicar Lane. A few LUFC ones around town too.

The one I've seen in Wakefield is just generic SS+

Adding gold to the branding around the finals has really worked, I think. I only just realised that it is exactly what the NRL is doing too. Who got there first? Both comps seem to have got it right, anyway.

I do like Sky Sports’ latest advert for the grand final. A host of pundits from across their sports coverage remarking about the grand final. Good solid stuff.

I missed this thread first time around. I commute into Manchester Victoria and it is currently plastered in Grand Final ads: floor of the main concourse, pillars, ticket barriers.
