Not at all. I have my views and think we are wasting money and time down there. We are a strong northern sport and shout strengthen our  roots first

Who's 'we' in reference to wasting money?

I'd bet on yet another "RFL spending money" misread of the situation that happens all the time, every year, without fail, on London RL threads.

Just FYI, based on SL central funding of £1.3 million per club, around £14.3 million has been invested in the heartlands this year alone. That's not including the amount sent to Championship and League 1 clubs.

As has always been the case, the vast majority, nearly all in fact, of the money coming into the sport to be redistributed out again, finds its way to the towns and cities along the M62 corridor.

Apparently the ignorant still don't know.

I disagree. We need to invest in our roots as well. Money she’ll be available for development officers throughout the rugby league playing towns

And just how do you expect those development officers to interest kids in those towns in playing a poor, small time, geographically stunted regional sport????

Yes but it is irrelevant to this topic

You've been around since 1876 how long do we give you before we admit no one in Oldham likes Rugby League?

8)rcg

10) beinek

13) havili

that’s a good start to a sl pack

I see Havili more as an impact 9 off the bench.

But equally effective at 13.

Hopefully Bienek signs on once the retention list starts getting announced.

Rumours are Tindall, Polselli, O'Beirne & Adebiyi will be among the players retained.

I can see him at a 13 in sl as he’d be a bit slower but still a great signing

no idea.. would be good though

On evidence thus far, you'd hope so, but please do it properly and not like 2012 when they put an advert in the program and......er.......yep, that was it.
Data collection seemed to be at the heart of the event at the NRL GF event, with people just needing to scan a QR code. More of that please, but then please do follow up and use the data.

On the park, the London Broncos 2026 will be formidable, no matter what division they are in, so let's hope they get it right off the park, especially when it comes to the 13 (or more) HOME games.

Fantastic event to support junior rl in London and will be a great night.https://www.londonbroncosrl.com/london-rugby-league-community-club-awards-short-list-announced

Lots of great people nominated who do great things and your support by attending will be hugely appreciated by London Junior RL.

On the previous day a group of junior players from London areas will be visiting the England squad at their team hotel.

Darren Lockyer will  now also be present and be helping to hand out the awards on the night.

Totally agree, information and follow ups is huge.. I''m amazed how many companies and institutions are so bad at these basic follow up steps and LB have been for a long time. If they can get this semi right it will be a massive improvement...

Hopefully they got him cheap if he is over as part of his media commitments for the Ashes series.

I`d suspect that Lockyer et.al. will have looked closely at what the Melbourne Storm have done right and more recently The Dolphins. The former in a non-Rugby League area but not far from a major League competition, similar to London and League`s traditional home in the north of England.

Developing local talent I`m sure will be one area they will look to improve on compared to the Storm, having a winning side from the get-go will be something I`m sure they see the importance of in the Storm`s success.
