Surprised York, Bradford ot Toulouse didnt pick him up. Very good signing. Definitely SL standard. Great that we're managing to get a few Northern lads to come down. A centre pairing of him and Macdonald will be

Angelus Posted November 17 Posted November 17 (edited) Breaking News: Reports in PNG claim that we've signed star five-eighth Gairo Voro. Massive if true. As various NRL clubs were apparently interested. https://news.pngfacts.com/2025/11/png-star-gairo-voro-secures-london.html?m=1 Edited November 17 by Angelus

No fixtures. No full squad list. No Challenge Cup dates. No pre season details. No trial games. Nothing to actually latch onto. You cannot expect a rush of buyers when the basics are still missing. And London fans have an elephant memory after the early season chaos we sat through under David Hughes. His money kept the club alive but the rest of it was a mess and nobody has forgotten, so the moment things look vague the alarm bells start ringing. Right now nobody even knows what they are signing up for, especially with the mystery around the Ebbsfleet fixtures and the total silence on any pre season games. Get the fundamentals out there and the numbers will climb. im waiting to see cost of silver tickets ....and all the mentioned above!!...end up going for gold probably

That part is understood. The thing is, that ‘what would you rather have’ question only really works if we knew what was happening behind the scenes, and we don’t. All fans can judge is what is in front of them right now. And at the moment the basics are missing. Fixtures, squad list, pre season info, clarity on Ebbsfleet. Those things matter. Being grateful for the rescue does not stop us from wanting the simple stuff done properly. certainly salford & fev holding up fixture list.

On the hunt for a Physio, it is great to see the support team being filled up, but any decent back office people with LONDON Knowledge will need to give notice at their existing jobs and in reality would be looking to start at the club almost as the season starts. I am starting to think they werent ready if we had been given the spot.... So what you're saying here really is that maybe we should just wait and see what happens over the first 6-9 months of their tenure to see what they are able to bring in, as we all (obviously) want to see them bring in the highest calibre of people not just people who can start tomorrow. Allow them to build the staff to then start to build a better offering etc.. This will take time, I do not think you are necessarily wrong with what you would like to see happen (also not saying you are right, I dont live there anymore and neither do you so its hard to say) but what we cannot expect, and it would be madness to think otherwise, that things will change overnight. If we want the best to come in then it can take time to hire them, and then for them to put strategies into place.. shall we just give them a little time? If nothing does change by July/this time next year, then I will happily join you in berating them, but if we start to see the tanker turning then it might be time to give them some credit? 2

bromleybulldog Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Isn't there a limit on non federation trained players or whatever the terminology is? Or do the PNG players have an exemption? Or have the RFL just given up on everything below SL? I'm very pleased to see the Broncos signing these guys and from everything I've seen they sound to be really good players but at this rate the Broncos are going to end up with a matchday squad of just about 100% SH players. Is this really good for the game? 1

Based on the "Leigh model™" you can sign as many overseas players as you like, you just have to release some of them if you get promoted, which won't be a problem, probably?
Sammo Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I hope they started on the visas a while ago - can’t imagine it will be a quick process for a Papua New Guinean to get a UK work visa, sporting or otherwise

THE RED ROOSTER Posted November 17 Posted November 17 (edited) Is not a good strategy to try to sell ST before the fixtures are known Putting the Broncos 37 Gold ST into perspectove Rochdale RLFC statement from Chairman Quote At the time of writing, I can report we have 41 platinum and regular season passes sold and allocated in total so far. This figure includes thirteen Under 16s passes which are issued free of charge. To put this into perspective and in very sobering terms, the income from sales to date does not cover the contractual commitment made to one of our higher-earning players, let alone an entire playing squad. Once the Fixtures are out and Silver and Bronze prices are known sales will pick up Edited November 17 by THE RED ROOSTER Quote What I don’t like here is sitting here with a bloke like you questioning my credibility. I misled no one – mind your words, son Phil Gould responding to criticism - I think I might try this out at work with any whippersnapper questioning my judgement.....
