Massive if true. As various NRL clubs were apparently interested.

The thing is, that ‘what would you rather have’ question only really works if we knew what was happening behind the scenes, and we don’t. All fans can judge is what is in front of them right now. And at the moment the basics are missing. Fixtures, squad list, pre season info, clarity on Ebbsfleet. Those things matter. Being grateful for the rescue does not stop us from wanting the simple stuff done properly.

So what you're saying here really is that maybe we should just wait and see what happens over the first 6-9 months of their tenure to see what they are able to bring in, as we all (obviously) want to see them bring in the highest calibre of people not just people who can start tomorrow. Allow them to build the staff to then start to build a better offering etc.. 

This will take time, I do not think you are necessarily wrong with what you would like to see happen (also not saying you are right, I dont live there anymore and neither do you so its hard to say) but what we cannot expect, and it would be madness to think otherwise, that things will change overnight. 

If we want the best to come in then it can take time to hire them, and then for them to put strategies into place.. shall we just give them a little time?

If nothing does change by July/this time next year, then I will happily join you in berating them, but if we start to see the tanker turning then it might be time to give them some credit?

Isn't there a limit on non federation trained players or whatever the terminology is? Or do the PNG players have an exemption? Or have the RFL just given up on everything below SL? I'm very pleased to see the Broncos signing these guys and from everything I've seen they sound to be really good players but at this rate the Broncos are going to end up with a matchday squad of just about 100% SH players. Is this really good for the game?

As things stand, 60% of the the confirmed squad for next season are English.

Based on the "Leigh model™" you can sign as many overseas players as you like, you just have to release some of them if you get promoted, which won't be a problem, probably?

I hope they started on the visas a while ago - can’t imagine it will be a quick process for a Papua New Guinean to get a UK work visa, sporting or otherwise
